(No, I mean I literally forgot his name. Like, “J”. Lol. Then I remembered it, but I wanted to make sure it’s was correct.)
Autumn blinked before giving her a small smile. “How about a bath, then? You could have a nice bubble bath, and I can help you wash up, okay?”
(Lmao me tooooooooo oof)
Alex stood up from his kneeling position. “And I’ll find her something comfy to wear. Mum has some children's clothes up in the attic….”
“Oh. I suppose we might not need to go shopping, then,” Autumn said, slightly disappointed. She kinda wanted to go shopping, though… Maybe she would take Jillian shopping, anyway.
“Oh, no no, you should still go. It’ll just be a temporary fix.” He smiled, hugging Autumn. “I’ll be in the attic.”
Autumn grinned before kissing him softly. “Thanks, babe,” she said softly as she hugged him back. “I’ll be in here, helping Jilly.”
(Jillian just watches as they have their fluffy interactions, not even asking if they’re married or engaged or dating. Lol. What if she asked if they were married when both Alex and Autumn were around? Autumn would be flustered because they’re not married, but she totally wouldn’t be opposed to it.)
(Lol that’d be so cute!)
Jilly shifted on the toilet and stood up slowly on her shaky legs as Alex pulled away.
“Maybe we should take her to a hospital,” Alex suggested worriedly.
Autumn glanced over at her and nodded slowly. “Probably… But let’s get her cleaned up first. We can take her before we go shopping.”
Alex nodded. “That sounds wonderful. Should we hold off shopping till tomorrow? Since it’s kinda late?”
“That sounds good. You have a guest room, right? She could sleep in there,” Autumn suggested.
Alex nodded. “But like I said, we can’t hold off on the hospital. We need to make sure she’s not in more pain that she’s letting on.”
“Of course. As soon as she’s done with her bath, we can bring her to the hospital,” Autum agreed. She leaned over to kiss him softly again before pulling away with a chuckle. “Now, shoo! The sooner we get this down, the better.”
Alex stuck his tongue out at her. “I need her clothing sizes. I’ll wait outside the door and you can tell me.” He scooted out of the bathroom and shut the door.
Autumn chuckled and turned to Jillian. “I’ll start the bath while you get undressed, okay?”
Jilly nodded and wandered out of Autumn’s way, undressing and leaving her stretched-out, bloodied, downright dirty clothes on the ground.
Autumn ran the bath, making sure to put bubbles in it. When she was finished, she turned to Jillian, looking above her shoulders. “You ready?”
Jilly still had the towel wrapped around her shoulders. She nodded slowly and shakily walked over to the tub.
“Would you like me to take the towel from you, dear?” Autumn asked softly.
Jilly nodded and slowlg handed the adult the towel. She climbed into the tub, looking down at her bruised, wounded and shaking self. The bubbles felt nice and warm. She liked baths a lot.
Autumn hung the towel up and grabbed a small one so Jillian could use it to clean herself off. “Here, Jilly. You get cleaned up, and I’ll go tell Alex what size clothes to grab you.”
Jilly took the washcloth slowly and nodded. “Th-thank you.” She dipped the rag into the water.
Autumn smiled at her and picked up the dirty clothes. Stepping out of the room, she checked the sizes of the clothes.
Alex stood next to her, looking down.
“Ah. It seems you have forgotten me.”
“No. I was just checking the sizes of her clothes,” Autumn said, looking up at him with a smile. “She’s a size 10 shirt and a small pants. And if you want to grab her underwear, she’s a small in that, too.”
Alex nodded and smiled, kissing her head. “Are we gonna adopt her? Try and find her parents?”
“Well, we should try to find her parents first, I think,” Autumn said softly, moving so she could lean against him. “But she’s a sweet girl, from what I’ve seen of her. If we can’t find her parents… Would you want to adopt her? Could we even adopt her if we wanted to? Would we have to be married, first?”
