Skye huffed, "You were in no danger of dying, and you aren't now." he said.
Skye huffed, "You were in no danger of dying, and you aren't now." he said.
Arie shook her head.
"Anytime spent in the sun is a signal to others. They smell the smoke."
Something rustled in the grass. Arie lashed out and caught a mouse, eagerly biting in and draining it.
Skye huffed, "Well tell them it's nothing to worry about..
Arie dropped the mouse's body, laughing.
"Oh, that's precious. Like they would listen to me."
Skye huffed, putting up a sheild around himself, so no more surprise attacks were possible.
Arie rolled her eyes.
"You think they'll show up in the day time?" Feeling better, she transformed. Her arm was bent at an odd angle, so she fixed it.
"I've never had to deal with your kind so how am I supposed to know?"
"I don't know. It seems like common sense that creatures who die in sunlight would wait until night to attack." Arie shrugged.
"Riiight." said Skye, still very distrusting.
"What?" Arie asked.
"I admit defeat when I'm beaten. Plus, you impressed me."
"Doesn't make me trust you."
"Eh, I wouldn't either." Arie caught another mouse.
Skye watched, suddenly feeling hungry himself.
Arie quickly drained it, tossing it aside. She felt better. She went to stand up, then thought better. She couldn't really get home now.
Skye continued to watch her, unsure as to why he stayed.
Arie looked in the direction she knew her house was in. Oh, to be in her velvet-lined coffin!
Skye watched her, this time a little more curious.
Arie sighed.
"Well, I'm stuck here for the rest of the day." She rubbed her forehead.
"At least I had a decent meal last night."
Skye finally got up. "I think Imm head on out before I get attacked again.."
"Smart choice." Arie moved to stand up.
Skye turned to watch her, his eyes trained on the vampire.
Arie brushed the grass off of her skirt. She looked ahead, trying to plot a path to her house without going into the sunlight. She sighed again, knowing it was useless.
"I'm really stuck here, aren't I?"
"Good." said Skye. Finally moving off.
Arie rolled her eyes, then leaned against the tree, settling in for a long day.
