(Probably just at the day care? Or do you want to say that Layla and Ella had another play date?)
(I think just at the daycare is fine.)
After dropping his daughter off at the daycare, Sebastian, exhausted from a sleepless night, made straight for the nearest coffee shop. Anything with caffeine…. I'll take anything…. he thought to himself, rubbing at the prominent bags and dark circles beneath his tired eyes. Stifling a yawn, he turned the corner, catching sight of a quaint little café on the opposite side of the street. Crossing it and entering the blessedly warm building, he wondered vaguely whether or not his bruises were still visible, barely paying attention to his surroundings as he approached the cashier.
Devon was still looking down at the computer used for cashiering when she heard somebody approach. Finishing what she was doing, she didn’t lift her head to greet whomever it was.
“Welcome to Hot Beans (excuse the crappy name, it’s from the Cliché RP…). What can I get for you this morning?” she asked, then finally glanced up. With a shocked blink, she blurted out, “Sebastian?”
(Omg Hot Beans! The place where Huntzie started. 💕)
(hhhhhhhhhhhhh
heart eyes)
Sebastian's head jerked up at the sound of a familiar voice, brows drawing together, then shooting up. "Devon?" He blinked rapidly, as if to clear his vision. "I didn't—I didn't know you worked here—"
(Lol. It's such a bad name, though… cringes)
Devon shrugged, blushing a little from being flustered at the situation. "I– Yeah… I'm not sure I ever said I did, so that makes sense…"
(shhh, it's iconic)
Sebastian blinked again, wrestling the surprised expression form his face and replacing it with a pleasant, albeit tired, and friendly one. "Well, it's, uh, a nice surprise."
(Nooooo… It's so bad….)
"Yeah, it's good to see you again," Devon agreed with a slow nod. "Anyway, can I get you something? Coffee, tea, muffin, scone, bagel?"
(nuuuuuuuuuuuu)

"Uhh…." Sebastian trailed off, glancing up at the menu above Devon's head. But it all blurred together before his eyes, leaving him clueless. "Which drink has the most caffeine?"
“That would be the Depth Charge. It’s got seventy more grams of caffeine than regular brewed coffee,” Devon answered without glancing at the menu.
"That one, please. Screw it, two of those." I reached into the back pocket of my jeans and pulled out my wallet. "How much?"
(Are you okay, Seb? ;-;)
(nope. Lol)
(Poor baby ;-;)
(Aw.)
Devon’s eyebrows shot up as she types his order into the computer. “Fourteen fifty,” she answered as the total appeared on her screen.
(lol he's just ridiculously tired)
Sebastian pushed a wad of crumpled bills towards her, rubbing his eyes again. "Anything else that's loaded with caffeine which you would recommend?"
(Yeah, but it’s still sad…)
Devon hummed and tapped her fingers against the counter in thought. “We have a green tea scone that’s pretty good, though I would suggest a green tea to go with that, not coffee.”
(oof)
"I'll get the scone," he said wearily, fishing for more money, "But not the tea, just the two coffees." Sebastian knew that he was paying way too much for a morning coffee, but at this point, he was too tired to care.
“That’s a total of twenty fourty-three, then,” Devon said softly, looking back up at him from the computer.
Groaning quietly, Sebastian handed the money over.
"Thanks, Devon."
Devon nodded as she put the money in the drawer. “Sure. Um… Are— Are you all right?” she asked gently, looking up at him quickly.
“Yeah….” he murmured, stifling a yawn. “Just tired. Ella didn’t sleep well….”
