(Nope! I don't have anything planned so go ahead and skip.)

@basil_

(alright!)

Ana got to school a little later than she usually did, throwing her hair up into a messy bun before walking to the front steps and heading inside. She glanced around for Olive, wondering whether she was done being in that weird mood like yesterday.

Olive was at her locker, sad that she hadn't seen Ana again that morning. She never liked being in the classroom first so she tried to look busy at her locker. Ana entered her mind, she frowned slightly and sighed. She didn't want to think about the fact that her best friend, her crush, just went on a date, but she couldn't help it. She wished it had been her, not some other random girl that she didn't even know.

Ana huffed lightly and started walking towards Olive's locker before spotting Madeline and heading towards her instead. She would see Olive in a couple minutes anyway, they always had first block together.

Olive had spotted Ana walking in her direction then turn suddenly. She closed her locker and leaned her head on it a sad sigh escaping her mouth. This was definitely not doing good for Olive's insecurity and anxiety. She started thinking if Ana was really her best friend or if she even liked Olive. Of course, none of it was probably true, but it was eating away at her mind anyway.

The bell for first period rang and Ana said goodbye to her girlfriend, taking her normal seat and waiting for Olive. She twirled her pen around in her fingers, eyes focused on a random point on the floor where the carpeting stuck up. She thought about Olive and how weird it had been to not see her in the afternoon yesterday and the morning today.

Olive lifted her head from the lockers and made her way to the classroom, being one of the last this time. She took her normal seat in front of Ana and took out her notebook, laying her head on it as she set in down.

Ana watched her carefully, sighing as she laid her head down. "Hello? Are you alive?" She leaned forward, poking Olive's shoulder and frowning. "What did I do?"

"Huh? Oh, you didn't do anything, no need to worry." Olive said with a fake smile as she turned around to look at Ana. "Er, how was your date last night?" She asked, almost slipping into a frown.

@basil_

"Fine.." Ana replied suspiciously, still frowning at her best friend. "What's wrong with you? Are you sick or something?" She asked, resting her head in her hands.

"What? No not at all! I'm in perfect health, no, um, no need to worry about me." Olive said. "No need to worry at all." She repeated, for the third time in five minutes.

"Nothing, no one. I'm all good." Olive replied, almost too quickly. Well, no one except for you… she thought, smiling to try to get Ana off her tail.

@basil_

Ana didn't reply, instead just setting her chin down on her hands and frowning steadily at Olive, trying to figure out what was wrong with her. "I'm no good at guessing emotions Olive." She muttered.

"I know, Ana." Olive said softly, almost to herself, an atempted smile acompanying it. She was glad Ana was that way, if she wasn't she would probably know a lot more, a lot more that Olive didn't really want her to know yet.

@basil_

"So? Are you going to tell me what's wrong?" She raised her eyebrows, not used to having to ask so many questions just to get a simple answer out of Olive.

Olive sighed, she couldn't hide it form Ana forever, so it would probably be better to just tell her. "Um, well this might not be the best place, I mean we're in the middle of a classroom, not the optimal place for conversations heading the way this one seems to be." She looked at Ana, no smile this time, just a kind of blank face.

@basil_

"Football fields after school?" Ana suggested, the season had ended so no one would be around. She wouldn't bother Olive about it anymore. It seemed rather important.

Olive nodded in agreement before turning back to the front of the classroom and laying her head on the desk. A little later, the teacher started the class.

@basil_

Ana didn't have her last class with Olive and after putting her things in her backpack, she made her way to the football fields. The day was surprisingly less cold than the day before and she settled comfortably on the turf, scrolling through her phone as she waited for Olive.

Olive sighed as she put on her jacket to go outside. She grabbed her bag and made her way to the football field. She spotted Ana and speed-walked to her. As she approached Ana, she smiled slightly and sat down right next to her. "Hi, Ana."

@basil_

"Hi Olive." She replied, gazing calmly at her friend. "So what's bothering you? Why won't you tell me?" She asked, a hint of concern in her voice.

Olive let out a small sigh before explaining herself. "So, ever since you met Madeline, I've almost felt… jealous. I, um, it's kinda selfish, I know. That's why I haven't told you anything at all, because I've felt like you would be annoyed or something. Once you had that date with her I just… I don't know, I've just felt like you've been with her a lot and stuff. And it makes sense since you guys are a couple now so I don't blame you. So yeah… it's selfish, sorry…" She explained a hint of guilt in her voice.
