"Okay, if you're sure." Olive smiled and went over to one of the two-seat tables by the window. She sat down and looked out the window, watching people and cars go by.
"Okay, if you're sure." Olive smiled and went over to one of the two-seat tables by the window. She sat down and looked out the window, watching people and cars go by.
Ana watched her walk away, gazing absentmindedly at the back of Olive's head. It took her a second to realize that their food was on the counter and she hurried over to Olive, sitting down and handing her the food and her drink. "What are you watching?" She asked, gazing out the window where Olive was looking.
"Oh, I'm just watching everyone outside pass by, minding their own business, living their own lives," Olive said, as she took a sip of her coffee. She turned her head and smiled at Ana. "Mmm. I'm glad we're doing this."
Ana nodded, gazing at Olive with a soft smile. “We do this all the time though. How’s this different?” She asked, tilting her head slightly.
"Yeah, I know, it just feels a bit different… for some reason… never mind," Olive said, almost rambling. She busied herself by taking a bite of her crissont. Her eyes widened, it was the best she had ever tasted.
“Okay, weirdo. How’s the food?” She asked, laughing softly at Olive’s expression. “God..you’re adorable..” She muttered quietly, immediately regretting it and looking down at the table.
Olive laughed at little, happy to hear her old Ana coming back. "Hm? What did you say?" She asked since she didn't hear the last thing Ana said. She smiled, "Oh yeah, my food is great. Definitely the best crissonts I've ever had!"
“Really? How often do you eat croissants?” She shook her head, avoiding her first question. I’m such an idiot..why would I say that out loud? She covered her mouth with her hand, hiding the uncontrollable smile spreading across her lips.
"Actually not too often, but never from here. They are my favorite pastry, even if I don't get them a lot." Olive explained. She decided not to ask again since it probably wasn't super important. "How's your drink?"
“Yeah? I’ll keep it in mind.” She nearly forgot she even had something to drink and took a sip of it. “Really good.” She ran a hand through her hair, glancing up at Olive happily.
"Yup!! That's good. Can I have a sip?" Olive asked after taking one of her own. She smiled, she definitely still liked Ana, it had never left.
Ana nodded, sliding her coffee over to Olive. “Still nervous about skipping?” She smirked, resting her head in her hand.
Olive took a sip, smiling after. "Mmm!" She slid it back to Ana, "Not really. It's just really nice." She looked at Ana, then shifted her gaze back to outside.
“Yeah, it is.” She murmured, looking down at the table. “Uh..I'm sorry..about the last couple weeks. I feel like I completely ditched you for a while and I didn’t mean to..” She said quietly. I really..love you, Olive.
Olive turned her head back to Ana, the smile gone from her face. "Oh, Ana, it's okay… you were in love and happy. If you're happy then I'm happy. It's totally fine." She offered a small smile and a loving look in her eyes.
“I..I won’t do it again, ever. I promise.” She added, glancing up at Olive for a moment. I won’t date anyone else as long as she’s in my life.
Olive stood up and went around the table and hugged Ana. She saw no reason for Ana to apologize or feel bad, but it did spark some hope inside, maybe she would have a chance with her after all.
Ana hugged back after a second, sighing softly into her shoulder. "Thanks..” She murmured, pulling away from the hug and giving Olive a gentle smile.
Olive smiled back, looking at Ana for a moment longer, then sat down again. She took a sip of her drink and let out a breath. "So what do you want to do after this?"
“Mm..whatever you want.” She said, fine with doing anything as long as she was with Olive. “We could go back to my house but I’m sure my sister is home.”
"We could go to mine, my parents are working and my siblings are all at school, if you want." Olive said as she took a bite of her pastry.
“Sounds good. When do you want to go?” She asked, drinking her coffee happily.
"Anytime's fine with me. But probably soon?" Olive said. She leaned her head on her hand.
“Okay then.” Ana murmured, gazing at Olive with a soft smile. “Thanks for suggesting this..it’s nice.”
"You're welcome. It is really nice." Olive agreed. She popped the rest of her croissant in her mouth, smiling softly as she finished it. "Actually, do you wanna go to my house right now?"
