~Time Skip~
Olive slowly started waking up the next day. She was tangled up against Ana with her arms still around her. She couldn't help herself but smile. She let out a satisfied and happy breath. There was some light shining through the curtains.
Ana stirred slightly but didn’t wake up, still content with holding Olive close. It was a Saturday but she had volleyball at 11. She hummed softly, snuggling closer to her.
"Ahh, good morning." Olive said softly and sleepily. She smiled a little as she was still trying to open her eyes completely.
Ana grumbled something and pulled the covers over her head. “Don't wanna get up.” She mumbled unhappily.
"You probably don't have to leave for a bit…" Olive said as she looked up at the clock. It read 10:13. "Well… you actually only have… uh… forty-seven minutes 'till you have to be there…"
Ana groaned softly, pressing kisses to Olive’s neck and jaw. “Can we have dinner tonight?” She asked, brushing her hand over her cheek.
"Mmm… of course…" Olive said softly. She tilted her head down and kissed Ana, smiling afterward. "You don't have to ask to come over.
Ana leaned into the kiss and sat up, running a hand through her hair and stretching. She pulled Olive into her lap and wrapped her arms around her. “Sounds great. How did you sleep?”
Olive wrapped her arms around Ana as well. "I slept really well, the best in a while actually. Maybe we need to share a bed more often. "How did you sleep?"
Ana smiled gently and picked up Olive as she stood, walking around and finding some of her clothes in the drawers and closet. “I slept fine. I didn’t realize how much stuff I leave here.”
Olive smiled and fell back onto her bed. "Yeah, I love it… most of them still smell like you…" She said before her cheeks flushing a little. She realized that sounded kind of strange since they only got together the day before.
“Really? And you love that?” She smirked, laughing softly. “Why don’t I have anything of yours?” Ana asked, sitting and laying her head on Olive’s lap.
"Huh, I don't know… You can take something of mine if you want, as long as it's none of my favorite things." Olive said, smiling. She bent over and kissed Ana then started softly playing with her hair.
“Give me something. Surprise me. Just as long as it’s not your favorite thing.” She said, laughing softly and gazing up at Olive lovingly.
"Hmm, okay… I have the perfect thing, I think." Olive said excitedly. She glanced up at the clock then back to Ana. "Hey, you should probably get going so you're not late for practice."
“Yeah, yeah. Can I pick you up at six tonight?” She asked, standing up and taking a couple minutes to get ready. She put her hair up into a ponytail and took Olive’s hands, pulling her close.
"Definitely! I'll be here, waiting." She said happily. She looked up at Ana and smiled. "Have fun, if you need anything ask me, it may take ten minutes for me to get to the school, but I'll come."
“I’ll be fine, but thank you.” She grinned, leaning down and kissing her. “I’ll see you tonight.” She grabbed her coat and started to leave the house, glancing back at Olive with a smile.
"See ya.. Love you!" Olive said with a smile as she watched Ana leave. The second she heard the front door close, she fell back on her bed and squealed very quietly to herself. She was the happiest she's been in a while, and it was all because of Ana.
Ana has never smiled this much in one day. Her teammates though she was high or drunk or something.
The time had come to pick up Olive and she was oddly anxious. She drove to her house and walked to the front, slightly confused. What am I supposed to do? I mean it’s no different to when I usually come here but I practically asked her on a date..
Olive had dressed up a little more than normal, with dark wash skinny jeans, a long-sleeved floral print button-up shirt, and her tall black boots. She almost nervously paced around her living room. She was also confused why. It was her best friend- now girlfriend- that she had gone to dinner with millions of time before, just now it was a date.
Ana paused for a second before texting Olive telling her she was there. She leaned against her car, highly confused and flustered.
Olive felt her phone vibrate and she quickly checked it. She took in a quick breath as she read it. Her heart started beating a little faster as she grabbed her coat and opened the front door. She saw Ana leaning against her car and smiled.
Ana stood up straighter and smiled a little. “Uh..hi, again.” She took Olive’s hand, squeezing it a little. “How’ve you been?”
Olive laced her fingers with Ana's. "Hi. I missed you, but besides that I was good. How was volleyball?" She asked while still smiling at Ana.
