“It was good enough.” She replied quietly, leaning down and kissing Olive’s cheek. “They all thought I was going crazy.”
“It was good enough.” She replied quietly, leaning down and kissing Olive’s cheek. “They all thought I was going crazy.”
Olive smiled and giggle a little before kissing her back. "You ready to go?" Olive asked.
Ana nodded, “You look beautiful.”
She murmured before getting into the car with Olive. “Play something.” She said, handing her her phone.
“I liked the first one better than anything else you usually play.” She laughed gently, glancing over at Olive. Shes so cute when she blushes..
"I'm glad! I really like that song, it's one of my favorites." Olive said smiling. She put on a station of the artist of that song and stared out the window. It was getting dark so the city lights were out and that was one of her favorite things.
Ana glanced over at her as they stopped at a stoplight, admiring her soft smile. She spaced out staring at Olive and didn’t notice the light turn green. “Shit..” She muttered after getting honked at a couple times from behind her.
Olive giggled a little and her smile grew. The city was so beautiful, she was so glad to live in one. But she was even more glad to have Ana as her girlfriend. It was the best feeling in the world.
They pulled up to the restaurant. It was pretty nice, but casual. Ana got out of the car and opened Olive’s door for her, unable to keep a smile off of her face.
Olive smiled and got out of the car, thanking Ana as the left the car. She laced her fingers with Ana's as they walked up to the restaurant.
They were seated near the back of the restaurant next to a large window and given menus. Ana kept their hands intertwined as she scanned the menu.
Olive did the same. She always took a while to decide what to eat since she liked trying new things but was also worried about something new being a disappointment. "Do you know what you're getting? Because I don't."
Ana shook her head. She wasn’t very good at making decisions when it came to food but usually at pretty healthy. “Most everything here is good. You’ll like what you get.” She reassured Olive, knowing she was worried.
Olive smiled, "Thanks, that's good to know." She kept looking at the menu as she leaned her head on Ana's shoulder.
Ana let go of her hand and slipped her arm around Olive’s waist. “Decided yet?” She asked, closing her menu and gazing down at Olive.
"Nope… you?" Olive said, turning the pages back to the beginning of the menu and looking through it again.
"Yeah," She pointed to a salad on the menu. "This probably." She said gently, absentmindedly running her fingers across Olive's sleeve.
Olive nodded a little. "I figured you'd have a salad… I think I might have this," She pointed to a seafood dish, "I just don't want to butcher the name." She said with a little laugh.
"I'm sure you'll say it just fine." She murmured, slightly distracted as she gazed at Olive. Who gave her permission to be so damn beautiful..
"Ah, I don't think so, I'll just point at it when the waiter comes." Olive said as she closed the menu. She lifted her head and looked up at Ana then kissed her.
Ana tensed, slightly shocked and flustered by the kiss. "Jesus, Olive. Don't surprise me like that." She muttered, a small smile on her face even so.
"Well, then every time I wanna kiss you do I have to be like, okay, Ana, I'm going to kiss you, be ready!" Olive asked with a silly smile, looking out the window. She laughed a little then turned back to Ana. "Ana, I'm gonna kiss you, okay?" She said before kissing her again, smiling the whole time.
Ana opened her mouth to reply but was shut up by Olive's second kiss. She slumped down in her seat slightly and huffed, not knowing what to say and embarrassed by the fact.
"Oh I love you," Olive said, still smiling. She leaned her head on Ana's shoulder once again. A nice silence fell over them, letting her enjoy being this close to Ana.
"I love you too." She said softly, ordering her food and waiting as Olive ordered hers as well. "Want to go get ice cream after this?" She asked, glancing down at her.
