“English, Olive!” Ana shouted over the music, laughing even so. “What the hell is this?!” She shook her head, not paying much attention to where they were going but that was okay. They had been to the same ice cream shop so many times she could get there in her sleep.
"You know what, I'm not even sure. My sister likes it and I want to know what weird stuff she likes." Olive laughed as she yelled over the music as well. She had a huge smile on her face as she looked for something else. Once the song ended she found one. "Okay… I know you said English, but just listen to this. I mean you don't have a choice but whatever." With a silly smile on her face, Olive pressed play.
“Is this French?? Liv, how do you even find this music? You’re insane!” Ana finally pulled into the parking lot and grabbed her phone back, playing whatever song she found first that was actually in English.
"Oh, I have my sources." Olive giggled once again. She loved doing that. It always put her in a good mood and she knew Ana secretly had to have liked it. "I need to keep things interesting, so what better way than music?"
"Are things not usually interesting?" Ana raised an eyebrow, turning the car off and getting out of the car. The temperature had got significantly warmer to her and she wondered why Olive still needed her hoodie.
"I mean yeah they are, but music makes things that much better." Olive got out of the car as well and followed Ana inside. She had just gotten used to wearing Ana's hoodie and hadn't fully realized it was hers at that moment.
"I guess you're right." Ana shrugged, inhaling deeply as they entered the small shop. It always smelled like vanilla and sugar in here. This was one of her favorite places on Earth. It was open all year round because they also sell baked goods and coffee in the winter. She glanced over at Olive for a moment, a smile growing on her lips.
Olive took in a long, deep breath. The best place on planet earth was right there in the city she lived in. She would be down to have ice cream from there even if it was -40 degrees outside. She saw Ana look at her with a smile, she sent one back. She got in line and started looking at the flavors.
Ana got in line behind her, scanning the board with the different flavors even though she already knew what she wanted. "I'm paying by the way." She murmured, not taking her eyes off the board.
"Oh, are you sure? Didn't you pay last time?" Olive asked. It was nice to be paid for, but she felt kind of bad. No matter how little the flavors changed, she never knew what to have. Every time way too many flavors sounded good to her.
“I did. And I’m paying again.” Ana said, walking up to the counter and ordering, moving out of the way so that Olive could as well when she was ready.
After a minute or so Olive decided and ordered as well. She moved to the side so the next person in line could order and so they could get their ice cream. "Thanks, Ana. I owe you for sure."
"Mm..that sounds familiar, especially coming from you." Ana gave her a playful look, taking her ice cream and walking over to the small corner table they usually sat at. "Don't worry about it, Liv."
Olive took hers and followed Ana. "Oh man, are you sure?" She sat down and tried her flavor, very satisfied with it. She loved being able to spend time like this with her favorite person.
"Yup. Who else am I going to spoil?" Ana said, focusing her attention eating her ice cream. She sat down and stretched her leg out onto Olive's seat, leaning back into her chair comfortably.
Olive smiled and started eating her ice cream. "Gimme your ice cream, I want to try it." She asked, well, more like demanded. She offered hers to Ana so they could try each others.
Ana handed over her ice cream with a soft laugh, trying a bite of Olives ice cream and nodding. “It’s good,” she observed. “What is it?”
(Sorry if these replies are dull, I have a lot of work to do today)
(You don't have to worry about replying if you have a lot of work, I totally understand though)
(I can still rp! I was just letting you know that my replies won’t be the most well written :)
"Oh, it's just the best flavor ever! Double chocolate cookie dough!" Olive giggled a little and took a bite of Ana's ice cream. "Oo! Yours is good too!" She handed Ana's back and took her own.
Ana sighed contentedly and leaned back, looking around at the other people in the shop. “Speaking of good things, what’s your type?”
"Err…" Olive glanced up at Ana from her ice cream. "You mean like my type right?… I don't know anymore. It's been so long and I just…" She distracted herself by taking another bite of her ice cream.
Ana raised an eyebrow at her, not believing a word she said. “What aren’t you telling me?” She asked calmly, nudging Olive gently with her foot.
"No, I'm telling you the absolute truth… I'm telling you everything, I promise." Olive smiled at Ana, hoping that would help convince her.
