She winked jokingly and hopped on top of the rock, looking out over the water while also leaving a spot for him to hop up onto the rock as well if he wanted.

"Are there any sights like this where you're from?" She asked, leaning her shoulder against his and trying to count the trees on the edge of the lake.

”Not like this, no.” Frankie answered with a note of sadness. ”The closest we have is if we get on the rooftop and look at the city skyline and count the tall buildings. This is much better.” he smiled and leaned against her shoulder.

@gracehustle

Selina tried to think of seeing no trees at all and just tall concrete buildings in their place instead. It didn't sound nice to look at in the least and she nodded, smiling, "This looks and sounds much better than the view from a city does."

Frankie closed his eyes and just listened to the wonderful sounds around them. ”Yeah, it really does. Smells better too.” he chuckled. ”But if you catch it at the right time and see the sun rising or setting behind it, that’s the most beautiful it gets. Unless it snows. That's a whole different picture.” he smiled.

@gracehustle

Her smile grew and she nodded, trying to imagine a sunset with the same buildings silhouette in front of it. That looked a lot prettier in her mind, but yet out here beat it easily still. "What if it's snowy and a sunrise?"

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Frankie smiled softly. ”Then I bet it's gorgeous. I never actually tried to see that in person but I can imagine that the snow catches all the colors of the sunrise.” he told her. ”This place is still better though. The city doesn't have these sounds and smells like car exhaust.” he chuckled, wrinkling his nose at the thought.

@gracehustle

"That was one of my least favorite parts of the city," She admitted when he brought up the smell, wrinkling her nose as well, "Just the conflict of smells bombarding my nose, especially since I can smell better than a normal human." Selina did think it would be cool to see the sight she had pictured in her mind though, with the multicolored sunrise and snowflakes falling.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

”I didn't think of that but I see your point.” He nodded. ”My least favorite part is the noise. People going everywhere with an ”I’m more important than you” attitude, sirens going off every hour at least, car wrecks…” Frankie trailed off with a shrug. ”Even in the city park, you can barely hear the few birds singing.”

@gracehustle

She nodded in agreement, looking up at the sky and not stopping leaning against him, "The noise bothers me too, at least out here its much quieter, and most of the noise is just animals and birds living their lives."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

He smiled, so glad to have found a friend who understands. ”Yeah. And at night out here, it gets so quiet sometimes you can hear the wind rustling through the trees.” he sighed happily. ”I just love being out here. Ya know when I was a kid; I thought about running away to the nearest wilderness I could find and make myself a little home, just for me.” he chuckled at the memory.

@gracehustle

Selina laughed lightly and nodded, trying to imagine a young Frankie exploring the nearest woods he could find, "That sounds like fun, living in the woods, secluded and surrounded by beautiful sights. At night this place really is amazing, I agree."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

”Yeah.” Frankie sighed wistfully at the thought. ”I still think about it sometimes. Everyone thinks I’m crazy for wanting it but my chances are better now that I'm older and more experienced than when I was a kid.” he chuckled.

@gracehustle

"This might sound weird, but that really does sound like a dream and something I would probably do if I ever had a good enough reason to leave my pack," She admitted, sighing and trying to picture herself living in the woods alone, maybe occasionally seeing Frankie again and growing to be closer with him.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

”It doesn't sound weird at all. At least, not to me.” he said comfortingly as he looked at her. ”Hey. Maybe we could be neighbors if we ever go through with it.” Frankie suggested with a bright smile at the thought of getting to spend more time with her.

@gracehustle

Selina smiled and nodded, knowing in the back of her mind that it meant leaving her pack behind but holding onto the dream with a smile, "Yeah, but only if you wanted to put up with me living nearby and close enough to bug you daily." She grinned at him and leaned against his shoulder a little more, "Where would you live?"

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

”I think I could handle having you for a neighbor. There's no way you're worse than my sister.” he chuckled. ”Besides, it’d be nice to have a friend to talk to.” the young man admitted before blushing a little. ”Uh… As to where, I’m not actually sure. I don't have a specific place in mind but sometimes I go back and forth between living in a tree house, like Swiss Family Robinson, or living in a cave, like I am now.”

@gracehustle

She laughed and shrugged, "You never know, I could be even worse than your sister." Selina didn't know what kind of place she would want to live in, a cave seemed too like where she lived now, but a tree seemed really high off the ground, too high for her.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

”I doubt it.” Frankie laughed. ”There were days when it seemed like she would literally do anything to annoy me.” he smiled a little fondly at the memory. ”Anyway, what about you? Where would you live if you took off on your own?”

@gracehustle

"I'm not sure, maybe a cave or a simple log house," She said, really thinking about it, "I mean, a treehouse it too high off the ground for my likings, and I really wouldn't like anything fancy, so really anything simple and on the ground." A small smile appeared on her face and she looked around, "And for location just somewhere in the woods and near a lake."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

”Maybe a treehouse isn't the best idea but a log cabin is pretty nice.” Frankie nodded. ”That location sounds perfect. Plenty of water and easy enough to forage for food.” he smiled a little excited about the idea and being able to talk about it with someone.

@gracehustle

Selina nodded, her smile growing, "Especially when you have a magic wolf girl as a neighbor that is amazing at catching food." It would be fun to live out their ideas, though she wasn't sure if she would ever want to leave this park for good, she would get too homesick and miss her friends. At least she would have Frankie though.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

”Yeah. I bet you're an amazing huntress.” Frankie complimented. ”I know how to lay out a few snare traps as well and I know some wilderness first-aid if we needed it.” he said remembering his scout days. ”And we could try fishing in the lake too.”

@gracehustle

Her cheeks flushed a little from the compliment and she nodded, curious about the snares and first aid, "We would be set. Do you think you could show me how to make some of the snares sometime? I've heard of and seen them, but I don't know how to make any on my own."
