Frankie was admittedly not much of a runner despite having somewhat of an athletic build. But he didn't mind if he was falling a little behind in their race, he was just having fun right now. Once out of the water; he ran hard heading for the rock Selina was heading towards.
It was definitely a close race, even for someone like her who spent the majority of her time running. She wasn't sure whos hand slapped against the rock first but she grinned anyway, having quite a lot of fun just racing someone again. "Tie," She said with a laugh before propping her hands on her knees and catching her breath.
”Tie.” he agreed with a broad smile as he leaned against the rock to catch his breath, running a hand through his soaked hair. A part of him was amazed at the fact that he had actually held his own in a race with a werewolf… and not only that but the very pretty Beta of the local pack too. ”That was a lot of fun. You were amazing.”
"Thanks, you were too," She replied, looking up at him and smiling while still propped on her knees, "Thanks for the swimming lessons halfway through too." Selina found herself watching Frankie with the same fun smile, looking away eventually as her eyes once again drifted to his chest and stomach.
”No problem.” he chuckled lightly. ”But only the first lesson is free.” he winked playfully with a joking tone. Honestly, if she wanted to learn more about how to swim he would gladly teach her while he was in the park.
"I'll pay for another lesson by getting your phone," She answered, winking back with a look that could be interpreted as both joking and serious. Learning to swim better was probably something she should learn eventually, and she would much rather be taught by him than someone else.
Frankie couldn't help but laugh at her reply. He wasn't making fun of her or anything, it was just unexpected. ”If you actually find it, I’ll teach you everything I know about swimming.” he promised, fairly certain that his phone was long gone by now.
Selina grinned, by now having caught her breath and stood up. "Deal?" She asked, sticking out her hand for him to shake. This would be fun if she found his phone, and she had a feeling that she would.
Frankie stopped laughing in surprise. He hadn't expected her to take his comment as an actual challenge, but he knew he couldn't back out of his promise. Besides if it meant he would get to spend more time with Selina… ”Alright. Deal.” he nodded taking her hand and sealed the agreement.
"Perfect, I'll go back and look once I finish showing you around," She replied, still grinning since she was fairly certain she could win this deal, "But right now though, let's keep just having fun." Her hand was still in his from when they shook hands and she gently let go, knowing if she didn't that she would get quite flustered fairly quickly.
He returned her smile and nodded. Honestly, he was a little disappointed as she let go of his hand but he wouldn't show it. ”Yeah, that sounds great. The day’s still young. Where to next?” he asked eagerly.
"Well, I only have one more place I really want to bring you, but it's not pretty until the sun starts to set," She replied, smiling and thinking of if there was anywhere interesting to bring him, "We could stay around here at the lake for a while and let ourselves dry in the sun, maybe get something to eat, and then go over there? It is quite a hike."
”Sure. That sounds like a plan.” Frankie smiled brighter. ”Do you want to rest here for a while first or just swim back to the other shore? I’ve got some food in my backpack.” he told her. He had been hoping that they would be able to spend, at least, the whole day together.
"Rest, please," She said quickly, matching his smile and leaning against the rock, "Unless you're starving and you want to go eat right away." Selina wanted to spend as long as she could with him, whether swimming back to land or exploring the tiny island.
”We can stay here a while. I’m not in any rush.” Frankie assured her calmly as he sat down still resting against the rock. ”Do you come to this island often?” he asked wanting to get to know more about her. ”It’s very beautiful.”

She nodded, looking out over the lake and taking in the view as she answered him, "Whenever I can, with our pack, on my own, I love this place..and it really is beautiful."

So are you. Frankie blushed as he held back from speaking those words aloud. It would probably freak her out if he did. Hopefully, she would just think he was red from the swimming and the heat. ”I can see why you would.” he agreed.
"Normally when I come with my pack though, I don't loose terribly when racing out here," She replied, chuckling lightly and shaking her head before glancing at him, "None of us are great swimmers, but since I was the best from practicing, I could usually win what we had bet on the race." His face was slightly red and it reminded her of just a little while before, when she had been blushing during the swimming tips. Maybe he was blushing too, but from what?
Frankie smiled with a soft laugh. ”Hey, by the time I'm done teaching you how to swim you will be the best in your pack. You could probably even teach them a few things. I still can't believe I was able to keep up with you running.” he admitted before turning to her with a brow arched teasingly. ”You weren’t going easy on me because I’m only human, were ya?”
She laughed and shrugged jokingly, grinning as she looked over at him, "Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't." Selina let him think about that for a moment before continuing, "Actually no, I wasn't. When I'm in my human form, I can't run the speed that I can as a wolf, I can only run as fast as I've trained to run in this form. Shows you how much time I spend as a human outside of being with you."
Frankie nodded at her explanation. ”That makes sense. I always thought some of those myths were a little exaggerated. But I’m honored that you spend any time with me at all, Selina.” he smiled.
"Yeah, myths are almost always based off fact with a giant twist or lie." She looked back around and smiled again, laughing lightly, "Don't let this get to your head, but I enjoy spending time with you more than my pack sometimes. You're amazing to spend time with."
Frankie blushed a little at the compliment. Someone who wasn't family enjoyed spending time with him! Not even his last girlfriend had said that to him before. ”T-thank you. I… I enjoy spending time with you too.” he told her honestly with a shy smile.
Selina pushed his shoulder gently in response, still smiling, "Don't let it get to your head Frankie." She could feel her cheeks heat up slightly though from his response and she almost celebrated. Finally she had met a human who actually liked to spend time with her, well, the first human who had not ran away screaming when they first saw her.
”I’ll do my best, Selina.” He chuckled and lightly bumped her in return. As much as he wanted to still see the other parks, he would be more than happy to spend the whole summer here. He smiled a little when he saw her blushing.
