Selina smiled and laughed, shrugging as she teased back, "I'm going swimming, whether you just sit and enjoy the view or come swimming as well, that's your choice."
Selina smiled and laughed, shrugging as she teased back, "I'm going swimming, whether you just sit and enjoy the view or come swimming as well, that's your choice."
Frankie smiled brightly as he set down his backpack and walking stick. ”And I just dried off.” he joked, putting down his shoes.
"You don't have to join me, you can be a party pooper," She replied, rolling up the pants as far as she could on her legs; essentially making them into shorts since they were slightly big on her.
Frankie raised a brow at her before running ahead of her, tossing his shirt behind him. ”Last one in is a rotten egg!” he shouted as a challenge.
She laughed and chased after him as he ran towards the water, picking over the rocks and still running as fast as she could. She didn't even know who won as she made the final leap into the slightly cold water, coming up after a moment and laughing.
Frankie laughed as he splashed into the water with Selina. He really didn't care who got in first, he just always shouted that whenever he and Cora went swimming. Smiling he held his breath and dropped beneath the surface briefly, shaking the water out of his eyes as he came back up.
"Oh! That's cold!" She gasped, laughing as she looked around for Frankie and pushing her now soaking hair out of her face. It wasn't terribly cold water, but it wasn't very warm by any means.
”I know.” Frankie laughed as he swam up to her. ”At least I had a bit of a warning when I fell into the river earlier.” he smiled, looking at the brighter side. He was usually a pretty optimistic guy and being out in nature like this was making it even easier for him.
"See, I didn't have that opportunity, though I don't know if that's good or bad." She smiled and nodded, taking a breath and sinking under the water again as she let herself just relax. After a few seconds she popped up though so Frankie didn't get worried about her.
Frankie wasn't too worried as she disappeared beneath the surface for a moment. Though, he habitually started counting until she surfaced. ”I’m not going to call it a bad thing that you stayed dry back there but I’m glad for chance to prepare for this.” he smiled before splashing at her.
Selina laughed and spluttered when she got a face full of water, wiping it away from her eyes with a grin before splashing it back at him in return. She wasn't sure if it hit him or not but she kept flicking it back at him.
Frankie laughed, putting his hands up to block most of the water though some still hit its mark. He stayed above the surface and splashed back for a few more attacks before he ducked underwater and waited there.
She once again got a face full of water, though this time it only splashed half of her face while she blocked the other half with her hand. Her grin grew and she tread water slowly, knowing that Frankie had gone under and waiting for him to come back up so she could splash him more.
Thanks to him helping his sister train, Frankie was able to hold his breath for a bit longer than normal… Though Cora still had him beat by a mile. He dove below Selina and spun around behind her before coming back up long enough to spray a mouthful of water at the back of her head and ducking back under.
Selina yelped when she felt a spray of water hit the back of her head, laughing and spinning around to see if he was there. She frowned when he wasn't, quickly catching on though and dipping under the water to try to find Frankie.
Frankie smiled at Selina as she joined him under the water. There wasn't really anywhere he could really hide from her here, so he didn't. He just kinda floated around about an arm's length away but eventually, he did resurface.
She grinned when she opened her eyes underwater and saw him, just watching carefully until he surfaced and swimming behind him as stealthy as she could to get him back. She didn't spit water at him though, just tapped his shoulder before quickly swimming back infront of him and surfacing as well.
Frankie laughed as he shook some of the water out of his hair. He spun around quickly when he felt a tap on his shoulder. ”Hey! There you are.” he smiled as he watched her surface.
"Hi," She replied with a laugh, smiling at him and brushing her hair out of her face, "How's swimming so far? Do you like this place?"
”Swimming is great. Finally adjusted to the water temperature.” he smiled, treading the surface. ”I love this place. It's absolutely beautiful. Wish I hadn't lost my phone otherwise, I would take a picture of it.” he shrugged mostly nonplussed by the loss.
She frowned slightly and cocked her head to the side as she treaded water as well, "When did you lose your phone?" Selina looked around the water again and smiled though, still admiring the sight of the place around them.
”Probably when I packed up to follow you to the cave.” Frankie shrugged. ”Cause I know I had it the night we met but then I didn't need it for a few days so I didn't notice it was gone.” he reasoned before dropping underwater again just for a brief moment.
"When I go back I'll look for it over there," She said once he came back up, dipping under as well and pushing her hair out of her face once again before smiling at him and pointing to the island a little ways out on the lake, "Up for a race, city boy?"
Frankie shrugged at her offer. ”By now somebody else found it or a raccoon carted it off or something, don't worry about it. And I think the battery might be dead now too.” he told her as she pushed her hair back. He glanced over at the island she pointed to and smirked as he looked back at her. ”I’m game if you are, wild one. Think you can keep up?”
"I'll still look for it." She grinned and shrugged, "I think you're the one that'll have trouble keeping up." Selina looked over at him one more time before taking off, calling over her shoulder quickly, "Ready, set, go!"
