He closed his eyes, and started to hum along as well. Surprisingly enough, he had a halfway decent singing voice, though he didn't sing often.

Allie wanted to stay in this moment forever, instead of having to go back and face the world again soon. She just wanted to forget about the aliens and Alex and everything but here and now. She leaned in closer, until she feel his breath on her hair, since she was much shorter than him.
Logan kept humming, closing his eyes as he held her gently. When she finds out what I am, if she does…what will she do? He wondered.
She rested her head on his chest, wondering whether he was only going along with this so that the weirdo in the corner wouldn’t stare at her anymore. She hoped not, trying not to go down that thought path. She knew if she did, it would only lead to her being miserable all night. “This is kind of nice,” she muttered.
He looked down at her. "Yes, it is." He agreed quietly, closing his eyes and holding her close, still humming along softly to the music.
She bit her lip. “So, Logan,” she began. “Are you only going along with this so that guy won’t try anything?” She had to know whether he actually cared about her like that.
He blinked. "Uhm. I don't know." He replied slowly. "I mean…I only just met you, and…" He stammered slightly, unsure of what exactly to say.
“Oh, right, obviously,” she said quickly. “Just making sure.” She was glad that he couldn’t see her blushing. She was so stupid! She just got overexcited because she thought he might like her. This was why she stayed by herself now. To avoid this kind of situation.
He bit his lip slightly. How do i feel about her? Do I like her? He wondered, biting his lip still as he looked down at her.
Allie didn’t speak to him for the rest of the song, sure that she slipped up. Don’t get attached, you moron, she reminded herself. If you’re going to survive, you only have yourself. And remember what happened with Alex. It won’t end well.
Logan bit his lip again, chewing on it. Did I say the wrong thing? Is she mad at me now? He sighed softly, still holding her close as they danced.
“I kind of want another drink,” Allie said suddenly, looking up at him. “Don’t worry, you don’t have to pay for this one. Do you want anything?”
He hesitated, then nodded. "Sure." He replied. "Want me to come with you, just in case?" He asked, casting a glance at the creep who had been watching her earlier.
She shrugged. “If you want.” See? I don’t care, I totally don’t care, she thought, knowing it wasn’t entirely true.
He nodded. "Alright. I may as well come with you." He said, starting to work his way through the crowd to the edge of the dance floor.
(sorry for taking so long to reply!)
Allie went with him, slightly comforted by the fact that he wanted to go with her. But his company meant her thoughts kept drifting back to how dumb she was acting. She managed to find some change in her pocket, barely enough for the cheapest drink there, but she didn’t really care as she ordered it and began to drink.
(it's totally fine!)
Logan kept close to her, and ordered another drink for himself, drinking it. He sighed softly, shaking his head a little. "You alright?" He asked her.
“I’m fine, why wouldn’t I be?” she replied, keeping her tone even and breezy, though she didn’t meet his eyes. She took another sip.
He shrugged. "Alright…" He replied, trailing off. He took another sip of his own drink. "Remember not to get too drunk, i don't think i can find the way back on my own."
“I won’t,” she promised as she took a sip. The responsibility made her feel a little more grounded, even as she wished that she didn’t have any, like she used to before. But the invasion had definitely instilled the importance of it into her.
He nodded, taking a drink of his own again. "Okay, good." He replied, closing his eyes for a moment.
“So, when are you thinking we should head back?” she asked casually. She didn’t mind if they left now, but she wouldn’t be upset if he wanted to stay longer. It was the most exciting thing around.
He shrugged. "Up to you." He replied with a small smile. He took another sip of his drink, looking around curiously.
“Oh, okay,” she replied. “Maybe we should meet some other people? It might be nice to make friends.”
He shrugged. "Sure. Just stick close to me, I dont want that guy grabbing you." He replied with a smile.
