He shrugged and smiles. "Alright then. We can just relax here." He hummed as he settles back beside Icarus. He could understand the hesitancy to go into the maze. It was terrifying for mortals to go through it.

Terrifying and dangerous, even when one had lived there as long as Icarus had. Perhaps especially so for him. There were still bones from the human tributes the Minotaur had killed, bleached by the sun and waiting around corners for the unsuspecting.
Apollo smiled softly at the other. "Are there any projects that you're working on?" He asks curiously, leaning against his knees as he gave the other his full attention. He knew that he wanted to learn more about the other. He really did. There was something fascinating about this mortal.
Icarus shrugged. "I…a few." he replied softly, looking up at the god. This whole experience of talking with someone who wasn't his father was a new one, or at least, new-ish.
He nods thoughtfully. "What are they, if I may ask?" He looked genuinely curious, his eyes warm. He hummed as he tilts his head slightly as he gazes across the sea. Hephaestus would really like him…
Icarus considered for a moment. "I…a map. For the labyrinth. I want to try and see if there's a pattern to the wall movement and if it can be mapped."
Apollo nods at that before humming, "I could help you with that, if you so wished. Like you said, the labyrinth is dangerous." He stretched out leisurely onto a sunspot.
"Yes, but I don't see how you could help?" He looked over at the other man, eyes flickering over his form for a moment before returning to his face, heat filling his cheeks until he had to look away again.
Apollo grinned. "I'm good at keeping track of things." He was a god of many things, which meant he needed to be good at memorizing things. If people didn't know who to worship when it came to something… it would probably be Apollo. He was a god of knowledge. He needed to be good at this stuff. He noticed the blush and hummed softly, tilting his head a little. "I could chart it out and give the information to you."
He nodded faintly. "I'm…I've been examining the walls closest to where my father and I live, and trying to see if there's any sort of repeating pattern or mathematical equation that can predict the movements. Once I can predict the movements, I can work on mapping."
He nods a little bit, his eyes shining. "I'm sure we'll figure it out! I'll help how I can, I promise." Adventure sounded wonderful right now. It was better then running the sun every day. He wanted a little excitement, something that would thrill him.
He smiled a tiny bit, studying the other man for a long moment. "You, ah, can't really meet my dad."
He shrugged a little, "You probably wouldn't want to meet my dad either. He's a bit of a dick." and keep his dick to himself. He thought bitterly to himself. He loved his half brothers, he really did… I mean Ares was a bit much, and Hermes was definitely mischievous… and he had so many demi siblings… He shook his head. "That's fine. Just keep me updated." He smiled warmly.
He ducked his head faintly. "No, it's…my father…" he trailed off, unsure how to explain Daedalus in a way that would make sense.
He paused at that and slowly settled in front of Icarus. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." he murmured quietly. "But if you want to, you can."
He shook his head. "It's nothing." he said softly. "He just…wouldn't like that you were here."
He shrugged. "It's not going to stop me from coming to visit you." He said simply, still sitting in front of Icarus. He offered one of his winning smiles. "We'll get you out of here." He said warmly.
He shrugged. "If there's a way out." he replied. "We've never found a way out."
He shrugged and smiled, "I'm sure we'll think of something between the two of us." he winks and stretches out again. "In fact, I'm positive."
Icarus smiled faintly, gaze flickering down to his feet. The young man was painfully shy, though that was likely due to living in near isolation for so long.
Apollo grinned, he didn't mind people being shy, he actually thought it was rather cute. He hummed in content, shutting his eyes for a moment as he looked up at the sky.
Icarus rubbed his eyes with a hand, looking up at Apollo.
Apollo seemed to be relaxed, dirty blond hair, bleached by the sun fell over broad, tanned and freckled shoulders. His chest rose and fell slow and steady, his eyes shut lightly as he soaked in the warmth of the sun and listened to the ocean.
Icarus fidgeted for a moment, studying the man beside him.
"Something on your mind?" He asks curiously, tilting his head as he glances over at Icarus.
