He smiled nervously and rubbed the back of his head. "I'm afraid I got a bit lost." He laughs softly. He knew faintly of the maze, how easy it was to get lost. He hummed and looked around, taking in the sights for a moment before returning his attention to the other. "What's your name?" He asks curiously, tilting his head ever so slightly. He looked semi nice. Just a simple chiton that reached to his knees and a simple golden thread holding his hair back neatly, except for the bangs that framed his face prettily.
"Icarus." He said slowly, frowning a little. Everyone in Knossos knew that there were only two people in the maze; Daedalus, and Icarus, and Icarus was clearly too young to be Daedalus. How had this person managed to get into the maze without knowing who was imprisoned here?
Apollo nods and turns his attention to the sea, a relaxed sigh leaving his lips. He hummed and leaned against a rock. "I'm not entirely sure how I got here." He laughed quietly and glances over at the other. "One moment I was wandering into a cave following a small creature, and wind up out here." He didn't want the male to suspect something too much. "I just took a few twists and turns and here I am." He laughed quietly.
Icarus nodded a little. "Alright." he said, turning to look over at the sea again. "And what's your name?" he added, realizing that this stranger hadn't given him a name he could use in reference to him.
"Aelius." He replies warmly. At the moment he didn't want to appear as Apollo. Every time he did, mortals seemed to freak out, and for once he was actually enjoying how peaceful it was at the moment. The breeze kissed at his face, the waves lapped gently at the rock below them, the gulls called out above them… yes. This was nice.
He nodded again. "Right. Good to meet you, I suppose." he still distrusted that this Aelius had somehow just…appeared inside of the labyrinth. It seemed suspicious.
He hummed and nods a little bit before settling into his back. For someone who was supposed to be under suspicion, he looked fully relaxed. He hummed before turning onto his side so he could face Icarus. "What brings you here?" He asks curiously.
Icarus blinked a few times, staring at him for a long moment. "I…my father and I were thrown in here because my father did something that displease King Minos." he replied slowly. Had this Aelius been living under a rock?
He laughed before shaking his head, "No, no. Not the maze I mean… I mean here, this spot." He looked a bit amused as he looked across the sky. The cliff was a good spot, beautiful, little distractions. It was nice compared to the rush of being a god. Or… at least cleaning up a certain gods mess…
He blinked. "Oh. Right. I just…like it here. This cliff, I mean." He shrugged. "It's peaceful, I guess." A small smile flickered over his lips, his gaze moving over the horizon.
He nods a bit and smiled. "It is beautiful. And the water points towards the horizon which is just absolutely breathtaking." He hummed and shook his head in amusement. "The sunsets really must be beautiful." Of course, not to brag of course. But he spent so much time and dedication into the sunrises and sunsets… they were his masterpieces.
He nodded. "They are." He replied softly. "Especially on clear nights, and the sun paints everything in all sorts of colors." He looked around quietly, before looking back at Aelius again.
Apollo smiled at that, a pleased expression falling on his face. He hummed and leaned back into his elbows. "And when the stars appear ever so slowly." He chuckles and ran a hand through his hair.
He nodded in agreement. "The constellations are quite beautiful, too." He added. He smiled a little bit. He could identify many of the constellations.
Apollo nods, his sister, the goddess of the moon was amazing at her job, even if the stars weren't necessarily hers. But she worked so hard to make the night beautiful. He glances at the other, "What's your favorite constellation?"
He thought about it for a long moment. "I'm not sure. Orion, maybe? Though the story behind why he's in the sky is not the most wonderful of stories."
He nods a little bit in agreement, "Such a tragic story." He hummed quietly, "Although, I suppose most suffer the wrath of the gods…" He hummed quietly and shut his eyes in content.
Icarus nodded faintly, sighing for a moment as he looked out at the ocean. "What about you? Which is your favorite constellation?"
He hummed for a moment in thought before looking up and smiling. "I think Pegasus." He shrugged a bit. "Or the Ursa Major." He chuckles a bit and watched the waves.
He nodded, looking up at the clouds floating serenely across the sky, then over at Aelius again. "Those are lovely too." he agreed.
He nods and glances at the other. "Do you often come here?" He asks curiously, tilting his head a little bit in curiosity. He offers a kind little smile.
"When I can, yes. My father has me help him a lot, but…" he trailed off, shrugging his shoulders just a little bit. "I like to come here and sketch and all that."
Apollo perked up at that. "You sketch?" He asks cheerfully, "That's quite the skill to have." He offers a gentle smile. "Although it seems like your father is a bit… Difficult."
He nodded. "I do. And he's…stressed, that's all." He shrugged his shoulders, sighing faintly and shaking his head for a moment.
His eyes soften slightly, "Are you sure? I know I shouldn't pry, after all I'm a stranger." He chuckles softly and looks towards the sun. "But I could be wrong."
