“Okay, yeah, I’m on your street now. Just take a deep breath, okay?” Danny scanned their apartment buildings, finally finding Alex’s and ducking into the door. He made his way to Alex’s place, knocking on the door before coming in.
“Okay, yeah, I’m on your street now. Just take a deep breath, okay?” Danny scanned their apartment buildings, finally finding Alex’s and ducking into the door. He made his way to Alex’s place, knocking on the door before coming in.
"Okay." Alex was in his room still, curled up in his bed with the blankets wrapped tightly around his body. He was dressed, he had pulled on clothes earlier, but he couldn't bring himself to get out of bed.
“Hey, Alex?” Danny hung up the call, stepping inside. He made his way to Alex’s room, hands in his pockets. “Are you good, man?”
Alex put down his phone, looking up at Danny. His face was streaked with tears, and he was shaking. He shook his head a little bit, curling deeper into the blankets.
“I’m gonna sit down, so like.. don’t freak out or nothin’.” Danny sat on the edge of Alex’s bed, trying to figure out what to do. “Did he hurt you at all?”
Alex nodded a little bit, covering his face with a hand and crying softly. "I fucked up. I-I f-fucked up so bad, Danny." His voice broke again.
“Hey, man- we all fuck up, we all fuck up- did you say he hurt you?” Danny leaned forward a bit, his face a mask of pure concern.
He nodded again, tears running down his face. He was shaking, quiet sobs wracking his body.
“How bad?” Danny tilted his head, trying to refrain from touching Alex’s shoulder like h would with anyone else. This was a different situation, after all, and it probably wouldn’t be appreciated.
Alex bit his lip, then pulled down the blankets. He didn't have a shirt, and the bruising on his body was all too obvious. His throat and hips, for the most part.
Danny flinched at the sight, a hand instinctively moving to cover his mouth. “Can I get you ice?” He immediately seemed to go into a protective mode, trying to help in the best way that he could. “It’ll bring down the swelling, at least.”
Alex tucked the blankets around himself again, and nodded. "The…the ice is in the fridge." He whispered. Silent tears were still slowly making their way down his face.
Danny nodded, getting up to walk to the kitchen. He came back a few minutes later with some ice, handing it to Alex. “Next time you want to call him, do you think you could call me first? Don’t text me, call me.”
Alex took the ice, pressing it to the bruises. He shrugged a little bit. "I-I…why?" He asked softly, taking a shaky breath.
Danny shrugged. “I don’t know. I just want to make sure you aren’t doing anything to hurt yourself, especially not if you’re upset, y’know?”
He shrugged a little, picking at his blanket with a distant look in his eyes. "I didn't hurt myself." He replied softly.
Danny sighed, pressing his lips together in thought. “No, not directly, but you know how this ends up for you. Christ, you called me saying that you fucked up, Alex.”
Alex was still crying softly, tears running down his cheeks. "I-I know." He whispered, trembling.
“I don’t want to scold you, but I’m worried. What you’re doing isn’t safe.” Danny continued, his voice as gentle as he could make it while still remaining serious.
He nodded a little. "I know." He whispered again. "I-I just…I…" He hid his face, crying softly.
Danny rubbed his neck. “I get it, man, I do, but you gotta break that cycle. The more you let yourself do this, the more you show that asshole that you’re okay with it.” He bit his lip in thought. “Again, dude, I’m just worried.”
Alex sniffled softly, shuddering slightly. "I j-just missed b-being wanted." He whispered.
Danny moved to where he was crouching by Alex’s bed, though his height made him roughly eye level. “There’s nothin’ wrong with that. You gotta know, though, that prick doesn’t want you. He just wants somebody to fuck.”
He nodded a little bit. "I know." He whispered, avoiding Danny's eyes. "I just…" He swallowed, shaking his head a little.
(gtg now. Good night!)
