“Sounds good,” Bryce chuckled, smiling at her reaction. “Sorry, I forget how sensitive your neck is sometimes…”

Joy rolled her eyes, smiling a little.
“You don’t forget,” she accused him, poking him in the chest. “You do it on purpose. Because you like seeing me squirm.”
“Hey, what can I say? You’re cute,” Bryce chuckled, winking at her playfully. “Anyway… Let’s eat, shall we? I’m starving.”
(These two are Adorable)
(Lol. Ikr? It’s only the sixth page, and I’m already in love with them. Not as much as Steed, Cash, Violay, and Huntzie, but still…)

(Exactly. They’re getting there, but not quite. XD)
“Hey, what can I say? You’re cute,” Bryce chuckled, winking at her playfully. “Anyway… Let’s eat, shall we? I’m starving.”
Joy nodded, slipping her hand in his.
“Come on. Food is waiting,” she pulled him towards the dining table, where the dishes were already set.
(Joy is such a wife. 🤣)
(Lol. She so is! 😂)
“Wow, and everything is already prepared, too! You really went all out today!” Bruce exclaimed, grinning as he looked over he table.
Joy snorted.
“Don’t I always?” She grinned. “Why are you so surprised?”
Bryce shrugged and pecked her cheek before sitting down. “I don’t know. I guess it’s been a while, so I wasn’t sure if you would today. I’m glad you did, though. It looks good.”
Joy took a seat next to him.
“I’m glad I did, too,” she murmured, happy that he was happy. “I like seeing you happy.”
Bryce smiled over at her and caught her lips in a quick kiss. “I like seeing you happy, too. I’ve missed you. I’m glad you’re back.”
Joy smiled back at him before reaching out to pour pasta in a plate. Once she was done, she grabbed a fork and handed the plate to Bryce.
"Here," she quickly pecked his cheek. "You'd better eat all of it!"
Bryce chuckled and picked up the fork. “I will, babe. Don’t worry. And when we’re done eating, we can gorge ourselves on delicious cake and cupcakes,” he declared, grinning before he stuck a forkful of food in his mouth.
(Wait, now what?)
(Um… We could do the thing we had planned? Or work up to it?)
(The planned thing~)
Joy blinked, looking at herself in the mirror. She had been feeling out of it lately, and she kept making mistakes in the kitchen at her job, so the head chef sent her home.
What was wrong with her? As far as Joy could remember, she hardly got sick. She kept herself protected, so why was she feeling like this?
Shaking her head, Joy splashed her face with cold water before wiping it off and walking outside. Perhaps it was because of her periods. She was nearing her time of the month (it was coming any day now…), so maybe that’s why she was feeling sick.
Whatever it was, Joy hoped it wouldn’t last long. She made herself cook lunch for Bryce and herself despite feeling off. She could never skip that, and the menu for today was homemade subway sandwiches. She hoped Bryce would enjoy it.
Bryce sighed as he stepped through the door. It had already been a long day, and he was pretty tired. He was looking forward to seeing Joy and seeing what she’d made for them to eat.
“I’m home!” he called as he slipped his shoes off and stepped further into the apartment. “Joy? Honey, where are you?”
Joy perked up immediately, poking her head through the kitchen. She had been preparing some orange tang for them, and she was nearly finished. She just needed to add some ice.
“Bryce,” she said, although her voice had a tire to her voice. “Welcome home.”
She walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him, sighing deeply, finding peace in his hold.
“Hey, there… Is everything all right? You seem a little out of it,” Bryce said softly, wrapping his own arms around her and drawing her close. He pressed a gentle kiss to the top of her head before resting his chin on it.
Joy nodded, sagging against his hold.
“I don’t know,” she mumbled. “I just feel really tired, I don’t know why. But you’re home now, so that’s good.”
“Maybe we should take you to the doctor… There might be something wrong,” Bruce murmured into her hair. “Should we eat? We can take you afterwards.”
Joy frowned, patting Bryce’s back.
“It’s probbaly nothing,” she shrugged. “I am getting close to my time of the month. You know how troublesome that is.”
Bryce hummed and nodded slowly, kissing the top of her head before pulling away. “That’s true… Well, why don’t we eat, then? I can call and see if they’ll let me stay home if you want,” he offered.
