As Lexi was about to answer the question, her stomach growled before she even got a word out. "Yeah, that sounds about right."
As Lexi was about to answer the question, her stomach growled before she even got a word out. "Yeah, that sounds about right."
"Fantastic! I'm starving," Hazel put a hand to her stomach, giggling.
Lexi led them to a sort of fast food booth and ordered her own food. "What would you like?"
(Think McDonalds+Burger King+ Wendy's+Mall Food)
(OK)
Hazel looked at what was sold. "Probably just french fries and a water, please."
The employee got Hazel's food done first before handing her her burger and coke. "Which table do you like best?"
She peered around at all the tables. Hazel closed her eyes and pointed in some random direction. "That one." It was towards the back, leaning closer to the left side than the middle.
The table was in a fairly good spot, away from the harsh sunlight but allowed some of the warmth in. She handed Hazel her food before digging into hers. "So, what are the classes that you take?"
"Biology, botany, art and a few design courses. I'm hoping to become a florist," Hazel wore a dreamy expression. Flowers were her passion and she wanted to work with them forever.
"Wow, I never would have guessed. When did you first know that you wanted to be one?" Lexi was surprised in a good way that Hazel was studying for something a bit out of Lexi's own norm. All the people she hung out with were always studying English, law enforcement, or business.
"I knew since I was little. Every so often, I'd be like, 'nope, I'm going to be a mechanic', but I much prefer flowers," Hazel laughed at the comparison. Mechanics and flowers, what a contrast. "What about you?"
"I take anatomy and physiology 1, biochemistry, and biotechnology. I am hoping to become and engineer who specializes in the medical field however." She answered, eating some of her food afterwards.
Hazel uncapped her water to take a sip. "That's really cool! I'll make flower arrangements for you and the people you help."
"Wow, really. You're serious?" She asked, mid-bite.
"Totally. I'll need to know everyone's favourite colours and such, but yeah. I'd love deliver flowers to you and others!" Hazel was over-flowing with ideas.
"Thanks, I'll text it to you later then." She smiled, thinking about how many people that Hazel would have to give flowers to.
Hazel made a noise of joy, considering how many people there would be. Her smile broadened as she took a bite of her food.
"When we're done, what ride would you like to try out?"
(kinda lazy to write more)
(that's a mood)
"Ferris wheel?" She asked, popping a french fry into her mouth.
"Sure, that'sā¦" She took out the map and laid it out for them both to see. "About a three-minute walk from where we are now."
"Cool. Want to race?" A glint of mischief appeared in Hazel's eyes.
"Hell yeah." Lexi placed her trash in the can and rubbed her hands together to get rid of the crumbs. "Ready?"
"Ready. Go!" Hazel took off running, her long hair trailing behind her.
Lexi didn't notice the race had started and was way behind Hazel. On top of that, she stubbed her foot on a chair while trying to catch up. She ended up hopping for a while before being at least close enough to see Hazel.
Hazel made it there and looked around. She couldn't see Lexi anywhere. "Lexi?"
Lexi soon came into what she assumed to be Hazel's view. She jogged up to the ride and made it to Hazel. She waved where she was before holding onto her knees and panting slightly. "Here, here." She said breathless.
