"Do you just casually carry pocket chocolate?" She snorted, very ungracefully in fact.
"Do you just casually carry pocket chocolate?" She snorted, very ungracefully in fact.
Hazel looked her in the eyes. "You don't?" She gave a laugh and ate the chocolate. "Would you like any more?"
"Yes of course." She answered as if were as clear as day.
She dumped a small handful on the table and leaned back in her chair. "Take as much as you'd like. I have more in my dorm."
Lexi looked at the pile with a look of greed on her face while her smile grew even wider. She thought about just scooping the whole thing in her lap but didn't want to seem weird so she just took five pieces and ate one from the stack. "Do you have a roommate?"
"No, I was lucky enough to get a single dorm. Why do you ask?" Hazel's eyebrows shot up.
"Just for… future references." She smirked, matching Hazel's eyebrows.
"Just…Wow," Hazel mirrored Lexi's smirk.
"Hey, I'm offended." She placed her hand on her chest with a mock annoyance before looking away from her.
"Oh, stop," She said gently. "That's not cool."
"Sorry," She said, looking back with an apology written on her face.
"It's fine," Hazel said with slight indifference. "I know how to fight it. Growing up with siblings has it's few perks."
"Can't relate." Lexi responded, thinking back to the countless day of coming back home to only her mom while her dad was out working late.
"Okay! That's fine!" Hazel chirped, remembering the amount of yelling she did back when she lived at home.
"Were your siblings annoying or were you guys cool?" She asked, not ever knowing how it would feel.
"It was terrible. I once lost my voice from yelling at them. I was the oldest, too, so whenever there was a complaint, they came to me." Hazel recalled.
"What was the worse thing they ever did to you?" She prodded, trying to get some information out of her.
Hazel thought back to her childhood, trying to decide what was the worst. She finally decided. "Once, my siblings thought it would be funny if they pushed me off the roof, where I hung out. Luckily, it was a one story house, but I broke my leg and cracked a rib."
"Sss, oww, that must've hurt a lot. What was worse? That or the skating incident?" She said with a scrunched up face.
"That. The skating accident wasn't nearly as bad because it didn't hurt to breathe," Hazel did a stretch. "The rib never did heal properly."
"Could I feel it?" She asked, immediately regretting it. Now you sound like some weirdo.
Hazel tried to hide her surprise. She grimaced at the thought of a broken tailbone but wants to feel my broken rib…? "Sure," She took her jacket off and lifted her shirt slightly before remembering they were in public. "Bathroom, not out here, please…"
"Oh shoot, I forgot." She smiled, sliding out of her seat and leading them towards the restroom.
"Let's go,"Hazel stood up and took Lexi's hand.
Lexi opened the door to the bathroom and lead them inside. "Does it ever still hurt?"
