"Hey. The line's short," She pointed in front of her, to show that there were about 5 people waiting.
"Well, lets's head to it then." She said, pulling Hazel along to reserve a spot.
The line was getting shorter and shorter with each minute. Soon, it was Lexi and Hazel's turn. "Ticket please," The person operating the ride said with a blank expression.
Lexi dug in her pockets to retrieve the ticket and handed it to the employee. "Here you go."
He punched a hole in each of the tickets and showed them to their spot. "This should be fun!" Hazel squealed.
"It should," She said while opening the door for Hazel and herself to get in the cart. "Except for the part where it takes like five minutes to get everyone on and off.
"that is very true," Hazel nodded in agreement. She took her hoodie off, tying it around her waist. "Which side dish you want?" She asked, gesturing to the seat.
"The one facing the rest of the park." She answered, sitting in the chair.
(frick sorry about my typo)
Hazel took the seat across from her. With a small sigh she leaned back.
(It's fine, I didn't even notice it.)
Lexi felt the wheel take off and go up before stopping again. "This is going to take a while isn't it."
Hazel peered over the edge. "Probably. There's like, 12 more stops at most."
Lexi sighed before slouching. "Well, while we're waiting, let's talk."
Hazel giggled at a passing thought before asking, "What would you like to talk about?"
"I don't even know," She started before an idea popped into her mind. "What about family, how many siblings do you have?"
"Seven siblings total. Emelie, Andy, Ben, Violet, Aiden, Amos, and Holden," Hazel answered. "Emelie is the youngest,"She added as an afterthought. "What about your family? I know you don't have siblings, but pets?"
"Wow, that is… a lot." She said right before the ride jerked forward to let more people on. "I have two dads actually and a pet husky named Atlas."
"That's a fantastic name for a husky. I love it!" Hazel nearly jumped out of her seat. "What're your dad's like?"
"They're cool at times but it does mean double the dad jokes. Other than that, they're pretty much like any other parent. I chose the name for him a couple of years ago because I wanted a random noun. If the generator gave me something like cheese or road I would've probably named him that."
"they sound cool, dad jokes are fun," Hazel felt the ride start up again, causing her to tightly grip her seat.
"Not at all, you're mistaken. Those jokes were the worst part of my entire childhood." She smiled, reminiscing the past.
((Sorry for the late reply. I can't be on too much anymore, but I can reply as soon as I get into a spot with wifi
Hazel took a second to realise how terrible it must've been when Lexi had people over. "Oh god, I see it now."
(No problem, the same thing has been happening with me, especially with finals starting tomorrow)
"Yeah, ugh," Lexi said, shuddering at the memories. "Anyways on a happier topic, I did get to pout my way into things a lot as a kid but it only lasted a few years before puberty hit."
"That sounds fun. My parents would kill me if I tried to do that though," Hazel smiled. "My younger siblings always did that to me."
"Did you ever fall for it?" She asked when the wheel finally started a steady pace.
"never!" Hazel laughed. "maybe once…"
