"Well it's an eye for an eye! He caused me pain, I cause him pain. It's only fair."

"Not like that!" he growled. "Besides, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you were really upset last night, and a kind of peaceful feeling settled over you after awhile?" his tone was calm as he tried to hide how worried he was for Rashi.

"Well, yeah. I figured that one of you was behind it since usually I would've cried until I passed out."

"That was him" Said Rio flatly, "He meditated for about thirty seconds, not nearly long enough for him to be ready to switch emotions with you." he said. "All that pain you felt last night? I watched him give you peace, and take the pain."

"I never asked him to do that. I asked for you to save me, that's all I did. I didn't need him to take my pain, I could've handled it on my own." She grumbled quietly.

"You never said anything to us. With how you acted before we left the office office yesterday we figured the last thing you wanted was for us to meddle in your life." said Rio, "And if you're going to blame anyone blame it on me and not Rashi. Please. He can't take this sort of negative emotion towards him." the last sentence was quiet, almost a plea.

She sighed heavily. "I don't blame just one. I blame both of you. But sure, I'll lighten up on him. But if he starts anything, I swear to God he will feel my wrath."

Rio sighed, "Do what you like to me! I don't care if you wanna bring me home and torture me just don't direct your anger at Rashi!" he was actually worried now, "Please you have no idea how much this hurts him!"

"Okay, geez, relax. Don't have a heart attack on me." She slowly met his eyes. "I'll relax a little, alright? Just chill out."

"You're not the one who's going to be up all night and be black and blue in the morning…" he muttered, going back to trying to pick the lock on Rashi's door.

She smiled a little, he really did care about his brother. She went to leave but couldn't find it in her to leave without giving him a little something. So she returned to kiss his cheek lightly before finally leaving. She wasn't sure why she did it, she just kind of felt like she had to. And she didn't mind it at all.

Rio froze, turning to stare at her with complete and utter confusion.

She only looked back once at the door to smile at him before heading out of the building. She already felt lighter, like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders.

Rio almost turned to follow her, but he heard the door click and barely had enough time to catch Rashi as he fell, crying, shaking, trembling, and ready to collapse.
Rio sighed, twisting to lift Rashi onto his back and take him home, ignoring stares.

As usual, she returned to her empty apartment. She had enough room for a roommate and that would help with rent but she liked her alone time too much.

Rio let Rashi drop on the couch before going to get a glass of water, drinking slowly.

She lit a couple candles just because she preferred the light of candles rather than artificial lights.

Rashi moaned slightly. But Rio didn't react. Good, he still has the strength to- he froze as wind picked up.

She hummed to herself as she did her nightly tasks and winding down for bed. She didn't eat, it was rare anyone ever actually saw her eat. Some people thought she was like a literal plant that just got her nutrition from photosynthesis. She wished it was that and not…what was actually the reason.

Soon Rashi was up and overtop of him. Rio stared calmly up at him. "You could give m-" he was cut off as a gust of wind pushed him violently down the stairs, throwing him on the basement floor. His sword landed inches from his head. Rio scrambled to his feet, barely missing Rashi's staff as their battle began.

She shook her head to clear her thoughts as she finished her nightly routine. She was exhausted and in so much pain from the constant tension so she just decided to call it a night.

Rio was huffing and out of breath. He defended a few more attacks, thrown once more against the wall. He didn't bother yelping, he was already sore as he got to his feet with a groan. Rashi watched him, threatening, and gasping for breath. He was drenched in sweat, but his head was clearer. His gut still churned from the mixture of empathic pain and anger.
"Y-You almost done yet??" asked Rio quietly, knowing full well that he had to let Rashi work it out.
Rashi responded with another series of poor, and half hazard attacks, ones that Rio would've been able to dodge if it weren't for aching muscles, and Rashi's lightening speed.
Rio groaned, getting up again, this was gonna take all night.
