Arien continued to curse under his breath.
"Ah- when I went to close the damn door, some- some sunlight hit my hand." Arien held his hand close, hissing a bit in pain.
Arien continued to curse under his breath.
"Ah- when I went to close the damn door, some- some sunlight hit my hand." Arien held his hand close, hissing a bit in pain.
“Is it going to be okay? Do you need me to do anything?” He asked, not making any moves to touch Arien, just giving him his space.
"I… I can handle this, you don't have to do anything." Arien didn't say anything about whether he would be okay or not. He hissed a bit more, examining the wound. It was across the entirely of the back of his hand, read and blistering and swollen.
“Are you sure you’ll be okay?” He asked, taking a small step closer to Arien. “There’s really nothing I can do to help you? Please?”
"I… I just need to treat this, I-I'll be fine." Arien bit his lip, holding his hand close and was very glad Rafael couldn't see the pained tears falling down his cheeks.
“Okay fine…” He said softly, though he was still very worried about Arien. Rafael wasn’t sure what exactly the sunlight had done to Arien but he knew it couldn’t be good.
"I-I'm gonna go to the bathroom to get the things I need," Arien said. He stepped around Rafael, opening the door. He searched for his medical supplies, biting his lip more until it bled. God, it hurts…
He nodded. After Arien left, he slowly made his way to the living room, using the wall to guide him. It took him a few minutes but he made it. He sat down on the couch, waiting.
Arien hissed a bit to himself as he treated his hand. He took a couple painkillers, wishing they'd kick in faster as he worked. When he finished, he wrapped his hand, gingerly holding to his chest as he came out. He sat by Rafael, letting out a breath.
"I'm not going to be able to do a lot for a while… damn, this is gonna scar so bad…"
“Really? It’s that bad?” He asked, frowning softly, his brow creasing. “I’m sorry, I should’ve closed the door for you so you wouldn’t get hurt, I’m an idiot.” He moved closer to the other, putting his arms out, just an offer for comfort if Arien wanted it.
((Bump?))
Arien leaned into Rafael, careful of his hand.
"It's alright, it was just a slip up on my part. Please don't feel bad." Arien sighed some, closing his eyes.
“Nope too late, I feel bad.” He said teasingly with a soft smile, gently wrapping his arms around Arien. “So I guess we both have to take care of each other now, huh? I can be your hands for now and you’ll be my eyes.” He chuckled quietly.
Arien chuckled some at the teasing tone.
"Yeah, I guess so." Arien rested his head on Rafael's shoulder, smiling softly.
He yawned widely, the fact that he should’ve been sleeping by now seeming to finally hit him. “Shit I might just pass out on you here in a bit.”
Arien smiled, chuckling some.
"Well, then, I think it might be a good idea to head to bed then." Arien had been awake for too long, and he knew Rafael wasn't used to staying up all night.
“Noooo I’m fine!” He protested, in reality just not wanting to leave Arien. But of course he wouldn’t say that.
"Rafael, I can't carry you really well carry you right now, and you yourself said you are close to passing out." Arien sighed a bit, still snuggled close to the man.
“Well I don’t have to go anywhere. We can both just stay here.” He pointed out. “Unless you actually have things you’re planning on doing today, in which case you’re free to go.”
"Oh, I completely plan on resting the entirety of the day away, I'll figure something out to do tonight." Arien let out a soft sigh. He laid down, pulling Rafael with him. He smiled softly.
He smiled happily, glad that it actually hadn’t taken too much to convince Arien to let him stay. He liked the time they spent like this, curled up in each other’s arms. He sighed contently, burying his head in Arien’s chest.
Arien rested his head on Rafael's, smiling again. He had his bandaged hand above their heads, arm under Rafael's head.
"You know, this is the most time I've spent with anyone in many years," he said softly. "I'm glad I get to do this with you, though."
“Is it really? Keep saying things like that and you’ll make me think I’m actually someone special in your life or something like that.” He chuckled softly, trying not to get his hopes up.
Arien smiled, blushing.
"And? What if you are? Is it such a bad thing..?" He had his other arm wrapped around Rafael, pulling him a bit closer.
“I don’t think that’s a bad thing at all. I just didn’t know if you actually thought of me like that.” He replied quietly, knowing that there was most definitely a blush forming on his face, he could feel the heat rising to his cheeks.
