Eve smiled. "I'm treating you, silly. We're going wherever you want."
Eve smiled. "I'm treating you, silly. We're going wherever you want."
"Ah?" Rowan flushed lightly, looking very confused. "Y-You don't have to do that, Eve… I don't… um…"
"You're right. I don't. But I am. So pick a restaurant because we're going," she stated firmly. "I've already made up my mind, you can't change it."
Rowan flushed a bit more, his heart racing. He wasn't really ready to make an immediate decision first thing in the morning. "I-I… uh… I don't… I don't know… it doesn't matter to me…" He replied weakly.
"You don't have to pick right now, but you are picking," Eve insisted. "It's my treat. Honestly."
"Okay, okay… um… h-how about we just get in the car, and we'll see if anything looks good?" He suggested, still seeming a bit nervous from being put on the spot.
She laughed. "Alright. Sounds like a plan. Go get dressed," she instructed with a grin.
"Alright…" Rowan headed to his room and soon returned wearing a sweater and jeans.
Eve did the same, wearing a showy top that she covered up with a jacket and leggings. A pair of sunglasses perched on her head, and she grabbed her keys. "Alright. Ready?"
"Yeah, I'm ready whenever…" Rowan fidgeted with his sleeves, glancing around a bit before he followed Eve out the front door.
Eve smiled kindly and headed down the hallway. "There's no need to be so anxious," she assured him.
"Sorry…" Rowan did his best to stop fidgeting, and he kept close to Eve. "I still don't know what I want…"
"It's okay," Eve promised him. "You don't have to know right now. Worse possible scenario: we have ice cream for breakfast. Hmm?" She hoped to lighten the atmosphere a bit and get Rowan into a good mood.
Rowan smiled weakly, still seeming a bit uneasy. "R-Right… um… what do you like for breakfast?" He asked. "I want to make sure you can find something to eat too…"
"How many times do I have to tell you?" Eve asked. "This isn't about me. I don't care, I'll be happy with anything you choose, I promise."
Rowan sighed softly as he followed. "But I need some input! I don't know what to piiiick…" He whined.
Eve laughed. "Fine," she relented. "French toast. Not very British-y, but… I love it."
"French toast? Okay, I can work with that… I typically like pancakes, and most breakfast places will serve both, right?"
"Exactly, so we can still go anywhere you like," Eve said, heading out to her car.
Rowan sighed softly and got into the passenger side of the car. "So it doesn't really narrow it down much at all…"
Eve grinned knowingly. "Not at all," she chirped. "Decision time!"
"Noooo… I don't wannaaaa…" Rowan whined, buckling himself in. "Just pick a place at random?"
Eve laughed. "You're an adult. Make up your mind about something," she bugged playfully.
"Mmmmnh… this is why I just make breakfast so I don't have to make decisions on restaurants." Rowan laughed weakly.
Eve scrunched her nose. "Come on, this is like… the easiest decision in the adult world. Pick a place. Look places up on Google Maps if you aren't sure."
