They were rivals, and everyone knew. The competition between them was obvious – they were the two most talented dancers in the area. They appeared at every competition possible, ripping at each other's throats. If they hadn't been bitter rivals, their skill and love of dancing may have led them to be friends.
But things quickly change when they somehow end up being roommates in an apartment next door to the dance studio. Having minimal control over the matter, they decide individually to just ignore the other. But after a while of being stuck in the same couple of rooms, they have no choice but to get along. Maybe over time, it will blossom into something more than friendship…
Potential lesbian?? I'd be open to gxg or bxg, but my character will be a girl, so you can decide whatever you're comfortable with! :)

Name: Eve Springett
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: Eve is an attractive woman with hazel eyes and dark, dark brown hair that goes down to the bottom of her shoulder blades in length. She has a soft but defined jawline, and her figure is lean and curvy, even with the muscles she's developed from years of dancing in general. Eve is tall for a woman – 5'10" – and has long legs. She has a tattoo of a rose between her shoulder blades, wears light but appealing makeup, and speaks with a British accent.
Personality: Towards her competition (and most other people), Eve comes off as intimidating due to her height a build. But when someone can get past her stoic exterior, she's a total softie – kind, caring… motherly, almost. Even though she has trust issues, if someone earns her trust, she is loyal to a fault. She also can be reckless and headstrong in situations where she needs to be patient, however, she also tends to overanalyze at times as well. The overanalyzing happens when she is planning and practicing her dances, but in the heat of the moment, she is known for her "thoughtlessly calculated" performances.
Theme Song: Woman - Kesha
Name: Rowan Lynus Fox (Ro, Lynus, Fox, etc)
Age: 21
Gender: Male (he/him)
Sexuality: Pansexual
Appearance: (Somewhere between these two pics, a bit closer to the first)(Extended: Rowan definitely has a dancer's build. He's roughly 6 feet tall and has a lithe, soft form. He has some muscle to help him dance and to lift partners if necessary, but he definitely doesn't have a harsh, sharp appearance due to them. There aren't a lot of angles to his body aside from his slender jawline. His eyes are a stunning amber, and he always has a few freckles dotting his nose and cheeks. He also has industrial piercings that he usually takes out for competitions)
Personality: Rowan isn't really much of a planner, to be honest; he often just lets his natural talent lead him forward, which works well enough to piss a lot of people off. Not that he doesn't practice, of course; he practices relentlessly, but he doesn't like to let it bother him if he needs to improvise something. He's generally charming, but he's clearly hiding something. His parents are incredibly strict and forced him into dancing, and although he learned to enjoy it eventually, he still resents them for it. But, he can't speak his mind for fear of them cutting him off, which leads to him not being great at communicating with others in general. He doesn't like to make decisions and prefers to just do whatever the people around him are doing to avoid stress, but this makes him a bit of a Pushover at times when it comes to standing for his own rights and feelings.
Theme Song: I'm honestly terrible at coming up with these but I'll put one here if I can think of one.
(…I LOVE him so much ahhhhh!)
(Tyy <333 sorry it took so long lol I couldn't decide his name or appearance ^^;)
(Nah, you're totally good! Happens to me all the time lol. I'll come up with a starter soon, I'm thinking we start when Eve is in the apartment waiting for her roommate and it turns out to be Rowan, what do you think of that?)
(Sounds fine to me!)
(The pressure Rowan's parents put on him is easy emotional breakdown material for later 🕺)
(Oooh, lovely! I'm excited ;))
With a quiet sigh, Eve finally allowed herself to relax. She collapsed onto her couch and shut her eyes for the first time in what felt like days. She'd spent an exorbitant amount of time unpacking all the boxes from her move, and now she was finally, completely, totally done. Each of her muscles began to relax, and for a moment, she thought she would even get to be blessed with a bit of sleep.
Rowan huffed a bit as he dragged his belongings down the hall to the apartment he would soon be sharing with god-knows-who. He adjusted his heavy duffel bag on his shoulder as he pulled a large suitcase along behind him. Pulling out his key, he unlocked the door and spotted someone already inside. He couldn't see her face from this angle, so he just pulled his things inside and closed the door again. "Erm… hello? Is this the right apartment?" He asked with a soft laugh.
No, Eve Springett was cursed with the inability to sleep. With a sigh, she sat up and rubbed her eyes open. When her gaze landed on the newcomer, she froze. His question echoed in her mind, and her gut response was blurted from her lips without her consent. "God, I hope not!"
Rowan froze upon seeing Eve as well, not entirely sure how to respond. God… of all the billions of people in the world I could possibly end up rooming with, it had to be her? "Well, the number on the door matches my key, so assuming you're in the right place, you're stuck with me." He set his stuff down and stretched with an exasperated sigh.
Eve closed her eyes and flopped back on the couch with a sigh. "Please don't talk to me. I'm contemplating why it is that the universe holds such a [expletive] grudge against me." She shook her head and whispered to herself, "Unbelievable."
"Well, you have fun with that little crisis while I unpack my stuff." Rowan picked up his bags again and headed to the unclaimed room to start putting away his things. As frustrating as his rival could be, she wasn't worth the headache of trying to find another apartment with a different roommate. They would just have to learn to coexist.
How is my luck so ridiculously bad? she wondered, opening her eyes again when she heard that he'd left the room. She stared blankly at the ceiling and seriously debated moving back with her parents. For about two seconds. You knew things had to be bad in her home life when she picked living with her bitter rival over going back to live with her parents.
I'm sure we can just avoid interacting with each other much… we've got enough space in the apartment, right? Rowan thought as he folded one of his shirts and tucked it into a drawer. It's better than staying at home with them and their ridiculous rules. He sighed softly, pulling some more clothes out of his bags.
Eve sat up with a huff before propelling herself off of the couch and toward her own bedroom. She made sure to shut the door behind her and considered how this was going to work. It's a small apartment, but if we make it work, I won't have to see him. Ever. Hopefully never, she thought with a sigh.
Eventually Rowan managed to unpack everything and grabbed his phone and earbuds so he could flop on his bed and listen to music. He turned the volume up so he couldn't hear anything else around him, although it still wasn't loud enough for anyone but him to hear it, especially not through the walls.
Eve's phone chimed suddenly, and she touched the screen to see the words Dance practice @ 1pm – 5 minutes appear on the screen. As much as she despised her new roommate, the benefit of having an apartment next door to the dance studio almost made her forgive herself for picking out this room.
Rowan was laying on his bed with his eyes closed, still listening to his music a bit louder than he probably should have for worry of hearing damage. He yawned and sighed, figuring he should probably practice his routine soon. This one was solo, but he expected to be put into a doubles routine soon.
Eve threw together a quick ensemble of leggings, a tank top, a light jacket, and sneakers before she grabbed her favorite water bottle and headed out to the small kitchen area to fill it up with water. As she was doing this, she slipped her Airpods into her ears and scrolled through her Spotify library until she found the song she was looking for.
