He took of his coat and dropped it at his side, leaving him in a black shirt. He sighed at the coolness of the night and began to practice again. Little whispered of his magic flowed around him, illuminating him and his surroundings in a faint green tinge
She smiled softly, carefully laying back in the flowers and making sure she didn't crush any of them. She closed her eyes and started humming lightly.
He saw someone laying off in the distance and carefully walked over "stalker…." He said softly
She jumped, sitting up quickly. "I'm not a stalker," She said "I wanted to relax, thank you very much," She crossed her arms and looked up at him.
"mhm, right…." he sat beside her and flicked his hand, sending his magic out in whisps
"It is right, I'm not lying," She watched the magic carefully, not very comfortable around it.
"hm," He smiled and looked at the sky "you come here often?"
"Yeah, almost every night," She replied, looking up at the sky as well "it's one of the ways I can relax,"
He nodded "probably the only place you can relax in this place." He waved his hand around, again causing wisps of magic to flow from them
She eyed the wisps of magic warily, leaning away from them. "The rest of the palace isn't the most relaxing, that's for sure," She said.
He noticed that little gesture and stopped waving his hand, bathing both of them in darkness and moonlight "don't like magic huh?"
"No..magic and me have an..interesting history," Avalin shook her head and glanced up at the sky, "Magic has caused a lot of problems."
He looked at her "you can't leave me with just that, what happened with you and magic that makes you fear it so?" He asked
"..Magic killed destroyed my family," She said softly, pulling her legs up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. "It pulled my family apart before slowly killing everyone, besides me."
"oh…I'm sorry….I meant no harm to you, I was just practicing." He layed on his side to better face her "I lost both my parents a while ago,"
She nodded "I know..your mother was an amazing person," She said, looking over at him and smiling softly, "She was the one person that all of the servants liked,"
He smiled back genuinely "yes, she was truly amazing. I try to be like her every day, but it's getting hard."
"I don't doubt that you'll be like her if you keep trying," She rested her head on her knees, "It might be difficult but you'll make it through."
He breathed a laugh through his nose "I dought it, somehow I don't think my natural instincts to trick and harm will become dormant to my my desire to be a decent being, but I appreciate the encouragement." He rolled into his back and put his hands behind his head
Avalin shrugged "I think you'd be supprised, you are already a decent being." She unwrapped her arms from around her legs and stretched her legs out, leaning back on her hands.
"that's because you haven't seen what I've done." He said, glancing at her and smiling slightly
"Even then, people can change," she looked over at him and then up at the sky, amazed by the stars.
"true, they're beautiful aren't they?" He asked whistfully
( I was thinking of jumping forward to a wedding and then their life afterwards, do you wanna do that? Or continue from here."
(Jumping ahead sounds fun :D)
(yay)
Could gods get nervousness? Even after All he's been through? The answer was hell yes. He tried to calm his breathing as he stood at the alter and ran through his vows once more. He dressed in a sleek black tux that fit his form nicely, and, per his fiancees request, a few white flowers as a boutonniere
