"Ok..wait..another person?" She looked at him nervously, aiming at one on the targets. Her aim was terrible and she didn't even hold the bow or arrow correctly.
"Ok..wait..another person?" She looked at him nervously, aiming at one on the targets. Her aim was terrible and she didn't even hold the bow or arrow correctly.
He nodded "other people count as targets." He threw one of his daggers above her head
She squeaked and ducked again before shooting an arrow at one of the targets by the wall.
He chuckled in amusment anf threw hus dagger again, hitting the next target
"That's not fair, I can't shoot you, I'd be killed," She protested, pointing at the dagger above her head before shooting at another target.
"No one would notice or care," he said simply as he threw a fireball at a target. He walked over hand grabbed the dagger out of the wall
"Yeah, no one would care if I died, but everyone would notice if you were gone," She studied him carefully when he grabbed the dagger, a small but not menacing scowl on her face.
He shook his head "that's not what I meant. No one would care if I were gone. I'm sure a lot of people would notice if you suddenly disappeared." He walked back to the center of the room
"You're a prince, I'm one of hundreds of unimportant servants." She said, raising an eyebrow.
She looked her in the eyes "unimportant, I think not." he shook his head and smiled "you must have someone that would miss you."
"Nope, no one," Avalin said, shaking her head and looking up at him.
"then let me be the first." he threw a dagger at a target behind him with a low bow
She chuckled, "If you really want to, I suppose," She notched another arrow and shot it at another target.
He smiled, surprising himself. "nice shot, let's see if you can hit a moving target." he snapped his fingers, and the targets began to move in a continuous circle
"Ok? I guess?" She said, notching another arrow and aiming at the moving targets. She sighed and shot the arrow, not surprised when it didn't even come close to hitting any of them.
He looked back at the Target and where the arrow landed "ok let's take two steps back and just have a non moving Target." He set a target down and appeared next to her "try again"
Avalin nodded "Ok," she grabbed another arrow and notched it, aiming at the target before shooting the arrow.
Before the arrow could hit the target, Loki flicked his hand up, causing the target to rise
She sighed and glanced at him "Really? Why'd you do that?" She quickly notched another arrow and shot it at the target before he could move it.
"to get you to stop thinking about hitting the target. See? Right in he center." He snapped his fingers once more. The targets disappeared and his daggers were back in his hands "now let's see if you can hit me."
"I'm not going to shoot at you!" She exclaimed "If I actually hit you it won't end well, for either of us." She shook her head and crossed her arms.
"that's if you manage to shoot me, if you do end up shooting me, healing spells do the trick just fine." He stood in the center of the room waiting "if it'll make you feel any better, I'll change the tips on the arrows so that they don't penetrate skin"
She nodded quickly "Yes please, if I have to shoot at you I'm going to make sure that you don't get hurt."
His charm faltered as he looked at the girl in front of him why does she care if I get hurt? Shaking his head from his thoughts, he took the arrows from her quiver and filled them " there, should be sharp as a feather." He ran a finger down the edge of the tip and nodded, heading back to the middle of the room
Avalin sighed and shook her head "I can't believe I'm doing this.. if something happens.." She trailed off, grabbing an arrow and making sure it wouldn't pierce skin before notching it and shaking her head again. She shot the arrow before she could think about it, not looking at where it was aimed.
