(hahahahaha I'll bet. also, was replying to a different rp that usually has responses of multiple paragraphs, sooooo)

(No problem my friend!)

@HighPockets group

(I can stop too, I'm sorry for intimidating you! I sort of came in and derailed everything, sorry about that. I'd put one of those embarrassed clenched teeth emojis here but I'm on a computer)

(We should probably get back to the RP now lol. I'll shut up now.)

(Although I would actually like to RP now that we have the chance lmao.)

@Tired-but-passionate

(I have once again supported this movement)

(also no big deal take ur time)

Victor was asleep once more, but the creature was very awake, and very alert. "Yes, Captain?" he asked politely, looking up at him from his corner. Even sitting down, the creature was eye-level with Robert, and it was an intimidating look. But the creature didn't care for intimidation anymore, not after they had destroyed their chances of ever being accepted, ever truly loved. He knew Robert hated him, after they had exchanged words before. But the creature was too tired for rage and pain, instead choosing numbness above all else.

"Is there something you needed? Are we prepared to leave for London?" he asked, shooting the sleeping Victor an anxious look. The man was snoring softly, but stirred awake at the voices.

"Robert!" he seemed… almost happy to see him again. And Victor was, he craved the connection the man gave him, the chance at normal he felt when he was around the Captain. The creature had become his normal, certainly, but at least now he had a chance at relating to his fellow man a little more regularly.

Robert eyed the figure cautiously. "We are."
Truthfully, he wasn't sure how to feel about the creature. Even now, his story was a lot to process, so he just didn't like to think about it. Perhaps that was cowardly of him. Oh, the irony; he was brave enough to face miles of icy water, and yet he couldn't handle a poor soul's desperate choices. It made him wonder if he was really as kind as they made him out to be. And that… well, it made him scared.
He turned to the stirring bed, following the creature's gaze. "Victor," he greeted amiably. "Are you well-rested? I think we are ready to leave."

"I had a dream that I died, and you were sad about it." he frowned, and looked Robert deeply in the eyes. "I don't know why you would have been sad but it was reassuring. And yes, I am completely ready to depart. Creation?" Victor looked over to the creature, a manic energy having suddenly seized the little man. His eyes were wide and wild, hair all askew, and even the creature looked a little scared of him. He wasn't his usual miserable self, that was certain.

"Ahem. I've been as ready as ever, since we heard about leaving port. Are you sure you aren't suffering from your fever, Victor? You seem-"

"Oh, I'm just glad to get off this terrible ship. I haven't breathed in any fresh air in so long that wasn't like ice, this is a good opportunity for me." he said breathlessly, standing up quickly and nearly tripping. Victor's face was unusually flushed, and he looked positively wretched, but if he was ready to leave then he was ready to leave.

"I-I'll help stabilize him." the demon offered, offering some support that Victor only slightly grudgingly took.

(y'know, Robert low-key gives me bi energy)

(He does to me as well! Victor gives me like, romance-neutral-to-positive aromantic gay energy and I might play his character that way idk.)

@HighPockets group

(To be honest I never gave much though to Walton. I read Victor as biromantic asexual, but I was also projecting onto him to an embarrassing degree the first time I read the boom so there's that lol, same with Hamlet)

(I mean we're all valid here with our interpretations and I think that's lovely.)

Deleted user

(I mean that is indeed valid and I would add it if they weren't both dead now.)

"I-I'll help stabilize him." the demon offered

(whaaaat? Demon? I see no demon here. I see sad monster child)

(I keep coming up with mean things to call them because it's canon and also I want to mostly write this from a Victor-centric POV so we can see him character develop. lol)

@Tired-but-passionate

(y'know Eva, I think the fact that no one considers Walton gives him so much potential. I really liked exploring his whole bravery/cowardice thing there, for instance)
