(Definitely. 😉)

The white-haired boy immediately stopped walking the second Amber spun around. Could she be a bit more careless? Once he was sure his cart wouldn’t hurt her, he turned its direction so he could walk next to her.

“Yeah,” he answered quietly, glancing down at his cart. “I think I’ve understood which companies you like and don’t like.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

(Oh, she didn’t spin her cart. Lol. Sorry. She let it go before turning around.)

Amber smiled a little, nodding slowly. “Cool. That’s great. Hey, did I get the noodles you like?” she asked, moving back to her cart to pull out the packets out.

Deleted user

(No, he almost hurt her with his. XD He didn’t expect she would turn around like that.)

William looked at the packet, trying not to frown. He didn’t like that specific flavor, but it was fine. “I prefer the spicy ones,” he answered slowly. “But that’s fine. I can just add the hot sauce to it

Before William realized what he was doing, his hand reached out to grab Amber’s. His hold was gentle, but the second he realized what he’d done, he immediately let go.

“Sorry,” he muttered, shaking his head. “And it’s fine. You don’t have to. It’s not a big deal.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Amber blinked down at her hand in his, surprised at the gentle touch. And then he was pulling away, and she almost found herself wanting him to take her hand again. Mentally shaking the thought away, she looked back up at him, his words taking a moment for her to process.

“Oh. Okay. If you’re sure,” she said, clearing her throat. “Let’s pay, then?”

William kept his eyes anywhere but at the female, rubbing the back of his neck. When he wasn’t angry, he was an idiot. Perfect.

“Yeah,” he answered. “Let’s pay.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Amber chewed on her lip as she waited to start. The group that was presenting at the moment was doing well, but they’d messed up a few times. It looked like they were nervous. Just like she was.

She would never admit it, but Amber had a bit of stage fright… Well… Maybe more than just “a bit.” Even right now, she could feel her heart racing as she went through the lyrics one last time, humming as she thought of them.

William looked down at Amber. The blue-haired girl was looking nervous, occasionally chewing on her bottom lip as she waited for their turn. He could hear her humming. Was she really that nervous? Finally, their name was called and William stood up, looking at Amber again.

"You're going to be fine," he found himself saying quietly. " You aren't going to mess up, and even if you panic, mistakes are all right." He didn't know why he was saying this, but William told himself it was because he didn't want to get a bad grade. If she messed up, it would directly affect him, too.

Amber glanced at him, nodding once before she stood. Of course they would be okay. She just had to remember that they had her voice and his violin skills, along with her on piano.

“Right. Yeah,” she breathed as they made their way up.

She turned to smile at the class, clasping her hands behind her back as she introduced herself and William. She explained the songs they were doing before sitting down at the piano and wiping her hands off on her jeans. With a quick glance at William, she gave him a nod that indicated she was starting and began to play the song.

William leaned against the piano, closing his eyes as Amber began playing the piano, setting his bow firmly on the strings. The second her soft, melodic voice exited her mouth, William moved the bow over the violin, his music mixing with hers, creating a sad yet powerful mix. Soon enough, William began to lose himself into the music; nerves calming, relaxing sensation running through him. Did he ever mention her voice was beautiful?

Amber didn’t even have to look at the keys anymore as she played. She’d practiced so many times that, by now, it was just muscle memory.

So, she got to close her eyes as she sang and played, forgetting that the rest of the class was there. She played her heart out, and it may have been her best performance yet. And she was certainly proud of it afterwards.

Finally, the music slowed down, getting quieter until it ended. It took a few seconds for William to collect his bearings and open his eyes, but he did. Removing the violin from his shoulder, he cast his eyes towards Amber, who still seemed to be absorbed in the moment. Snorting to himself, he looked at the crowd. The awe in their eyes, the satisfaction, and envy. They did well, William decided. Neither of them made any mistakes.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Amber slowly opened her eyes, feeling much calmer than when she started. She turned to the class and nodded, smiling at them. A snort caught her attention, and she glanced up at William, her eyebrows furrowing. Seriously? Could he not let her have one moment?

William shot Amber a small smirk, shaking his head at the look on her features before he composed himself. What was he even doing?

Their teacher, Brightly, interrupted them with a clap of her hands, her eyes twinkling.

"Amazing!" she clapped. "You both were perfect. I'm very pleased with the performance you gave today. There are areas needed to be improved, but you guys will do perfectly next time, I'm sure of it!"

@Imperfect_Autumn group

“Thank you, Professor,” Amber said with a polite smile as she stood.

William’s smirk didn’t escape her, and she was even more confused by it. Why was he smirking at her? Did he think it was funny how music calmed her? But it seemed like it did the same for him, so that wouldn’t make sense…

William put his violin back in its case, picking it up before he made his way back to his seat. He sat down, setting one leg over the other, head on the table. Music had always calmed him down and at this moment, he felt incredibly tired. They still had thirty minutes left of class…

@Imperfect_Autumn group

As soon as class was over, Amber packed her things into her bag. She walked out of the room, chewing on her lip as she paused to consider something. And when William walked out, she made up her mind and stepped up beside him.

“You did really well today,” she remarked softly, her gaze on the hallway in front of her.

William paused, staring at Amber with his eyebrows furrowed. Did she just say what he thought she just said or was it his ears playing tricks on him? Didn't her boyfriend tell her not to be around him too much? Finally, he gave her a small nod, a corner of his mouth lifting up.

"You did, too," he replied quietly, trying to think of something else to say. His brain, however, was filled with basketball, so the only thing he could add was the game encouragement. "Good work today."

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Amber chuckled a little at his terminology. His mind was ever on the game, it seemed. Well… Either that or music.

“Thanks. I’ve got a free period, so I’m going to go surprise Jace, but I’ll see you back at the dorm or whatever,” she said, shooting him a quick, small smile before turning and walking in a different direction.

You’re playing a dangerous game, Amber…

William tried hard not to roll his eyes at her statement and nodded instead, watching her turn around and walk away. She didn't need to tell him that, did she? Shaking his head, William continued on his way. He had half an hour to spare, so he decided he was going to wait for Ash or Drew. Or both. Caroline had a lesson right now, so he couldn't bother her. Tightening his hold on the violin case, William began to make his way towards his friends' class.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Amber made her way to where she thought she remembered Jace’s next class being. When she arrived, a peek in the door confirmed her suspicions, so she waited outside for his class to finish.

As soon as the door was opened and Jace stepped out, she was behind him and wrapping her hands over his eyes. “Guess who~” she singsonged with a small laugh.

Jace stiffened when he felt hands covering his eyes, but recognized the voice and the touch.

"Ah, should I know who it is?" Jace answered, feigning ignorance. "I'm afraid I'm rather bad at guessing games. You have to give me a hint~"

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Amber laughed again, quieting herself before humming. She pulled a hand away, using just one to cover both of his eyes, then stood up the best she could to kiss his cheek from behind. “Does that help at all?”

Deleted user

Jace hummed thoughtfully before reaching out to grab the person–his girlfriend, of course–, a grin on his features.

"Now I know," he said, turning around and capturing her lips in a kiss. "My favorite girl. It's been so long."
