Jace furrowed his eyebrows, pecking her lips again. “Is it all right if I?” He tilted his head. “I mean… it’s not a problem, right?”
Jace furrowed his eyebrows, pecking her lips again. “Is it all right if I?” He tilted his head. “I mean… it’s not a problem, right?”
Amber chewed on her lip and glanced toward William’s room. Would he be mad if Jace stayed?
“Um… I should probably just double check with William,” she admitted, looking back up at him. “But I’d love it if you stayed.”
Jace rolled his eyes at her first statement, but said nothing regarding that.
“I’d love to stay,” he said softly. “If it makes you happy.”
“It would make me happy,” Amber assured him with a smile. She pulled away, albeit reluctantly, and gave his hands one last squeeze before walking over to William’s room and knocking gently on the door.
William had just gotten himself settled on his bed when the door knocked. He sighed, pulling himself to his feet, opening it a little, locking eyes with Amber’s. He raised an eyebrow.
“What?”
Amber blinked, opening her mouth to ask her question. She closed it and glanced back at Jace before facing William again.
“I was just going to ask if it was okay if Jace stayed for a little bit,” she explained, sticking her hands in her front pockets. “So… Is it?”
William sighed, running a hand through his hair. She needed her boyfriend right now, especially after what she experienced.
“As long as you both don’t cause a ruckus,” he muttered. “Then I guess it’s fine.”
Amber gave William a faint smile and nodded. “Thanks. Have a good rest of your night, William,” she said quietly before turning g around and heading back to her boyfriend. She grinned up at Jace and wrapped her arms around his neck. “He said you can stay.”
Jace grinned, hugging her back. He kissed her nose before nuzzling her neck.
“Great,” he mumbled. “It would have sucked if he’d said no. He would have been much more of a jerk.”
Amber hummed softly in acknowledgement, turning to kiss his cheek. “He’s not that bad, really. A little hot-tempered, but not terrible.”
Jace frowned. “You know he gives us guys hell, right?” He pouted. “We’re miserable.”
“Aw, sorry… Is it hard having someone looking over your shoulder?” Amber teased with a chuckle, pecking his lips lightly.
“Of course it is,” Jace huffed. “I wish I could hit him with a ball every time he glares at us. Which is like, all the time. Anyway, enough about that sour pants. Why were you sleeping on the couch instead of in your room?”
“Oh. Uh, I guess I turned the tv on and just fell asleep watching the show,” Amber mused with a shrug, knowing that was only part of the truth. “Anyway, let’s go sit on the couch. Cuddles sound great right now.”
Jace pecked her on the forehead, smiling at her. “Sounds great,” he said. “Do you want to continue watching what you were watching?”
Amber smiled and reached up to kiss him softly before leading him to the couch. “That sounds fine. Do you like The Flash?”
Jace scrunched his nose. “I tried watching it, but I never got into it. Personally, I’m not a big fan of superhero movies.”
“Oh… Well, maybe you’ll get more into it this time,” Amber hummed, tugging him down onto the couch with her. “C’mon. Snuggles.”
Jace sighed loudly like the dramatic idiot he was, and fell down on the couch as Amber pulled him. He wrapped his arms around her.
“All right, let’s see how I like this.”
“I hope you like it,” Amber murmured, snuggling into him and kissing his jaw — the only place she could reach at the moment.
“Should I bend down so you can kiss me properly?” Jace teased. “I can do it if you want me to.”
“Mm… Would you please?” Amber hummed, smiling up at him.
Jace obliged, bending down to her level so she could have what she wanted.
“Here you go,” he murmured.
Amber giggled slightly and pressed her lips to his. “Thank you,” she murmured against him.
Jace smiled against her lips, tilting slightly to get better access to her soft mouth.
“No, thank you,” he winked at her.
