Amber sighed and glanced on the direction of William’s door, shaking her head. She looked up at Jace, giving him an apologetic look.
“Sorry about him… I don’t know what his deal is,” she sighed.
Amber sighed and glanced on the direction of William’s door, shaking her head. She looked up at Jace, giving him an apologetic look.
“Sorry about him… I don’t know what his deal is,” she sighed.
Jace snapped out of his stupor, shaking his head.
“No, it’s fine,” he said, sighing. “He’s my teammate so I know what type of a person he is. I seriously don’t know how the others can stand him. He’s rude and blows up over the littlest of things. He expects everyone to follow him and it just pisses me off.”
Jace pauses before realizing he was letting his anger get the best of him. “When can you move from here? I really don’t want you staying more than you already have, especially with all the rumors of him flying around.”
Amber’s eyebrows furrowed at his last sentence. “Hopefully by the end of the year at the latest. What rumors?” she asked warily.
Jace shrugged. “Everyone has different stories. I just met him this year, so I don’t know how valid they are. Some say he dealt with drugs, or was a part of a gang in high school. Others say he got in trouble with the law. Even with all of that, the number of girls flocking around him is unbelievable. He’s… I have yet to see something good in him. I don’t know what the others see. Especially Drew and the manager.”
Amber sighed with a small shrug before wrapping her arms around him. “He’s serious about what he does. I guess that makes him good for the team,” she mused softly.
Jace responded by running a hand through his hair with a huff, hugging her back. “Listen, just… just don’t get too close to him, all right? I don’t want you getting hurt.”
“M’kay… Anyway, we should go somewhere else,” Amber sighed, smiling up at him a little. “Unless you just wanted to go back to your dorm?”
“We can go back to my dorm,” Jace suggested with a shrug. “If that’s all right with you?”
“That sounds fine to me. Did you walk here or drive?” Amber wondered, pulling away gently to go get her things.
“I walked,” Jace answered, stuffing his hands in his pockets. “So I guess we’ll have to walk back, huh?”
Amber grabbed her things and walked back over to Jace. “Walking is fine. A little exercise never hurt anyone, right?” she chuckled.
“I think I’ve had my fair share of exercise,” Jace muttered, throwing an arm around her. “C’mon, let’s go.”
Amber laughed and reached up to peck his cheek as hey walked out the door. She closed it behind them, and then they were on their way.
A few minutes later, they were at Jace’s dorm. Amber leaned against the wall as she waited for him to unlock the door.
“So, do you have a roommate? Or is it a single dorm?” she wondered as she watched him.
Jace unlocked the door and opened it, letting her inside. “Sorry, it’s a bit messy,” he apologized, cringing at the mess on the floor. “I have a roommate, but he and I… make a lot of mess and never really clean up. Unless we can’t see the floor anymore.”
Amber raised her eyebrows as she stepped inside, taking in the mess. She chuckled, shaking her head slowly.
“Well, you can definitely tell it’s a bachelor pad,” she teased, turning to smile up at him.
Jace gasped. “That’s so rude, Amber. It hit me right in the heart! I’m wounded now.”
“Aw, do I need to kiss it and make it better~?” Amber teased with a light laugh.
“Yes, yes you do,” Jace nodded, clutching his chest to make it more dramatic. “Hurry! I feel like my artery’s been cut!”
Amber laughed again, stepping closer. “All right, all right,” she chuckled before reaching up to connect their lips together. She had to stand on her toes in order to reach him, though, due to the height difference.
Jace immediately dipped down, pressing their lips together harder. His hands slipped down to her waist, holding her tightly as he kissed her back.
Amber made a soft sound of surprise when he pressed their lips together harder. She wrapped her arms around his neck, lowering herself slightly so it was easier.
Jace smiled against her lips, bending down a bit more so she wouldn’t have difficulties in kissing him properly. His arms snaked around her middle, pulling her closer.
“Have I told you you kiss really well?” He murmured against her lips.
“Mm, no… No you haven’t,” Amber chuckled against his lips. “I think you’re better, though.”
Jace grinned. “Am I? Thank you, Amber. I try.”
Amber chuckled softly. “Modest, I see,” she teased.
