Gabe nodded.
"If you don't like churches, I definitely won't force you to come."
Gabe nodded.
"If you don't like churches, I definitely won't force you to come."
He nodded a little. "Thank you." He replied. Too many times, he had been called a demon and an offense to god, because of his abilities, because of his attraction to other men.
"Alright then. I'll come back when I'm done." Gabe patted Alex's hand lightly, standing.
Alex nodded again. "Alright." he replied softly.
Gabe stepped out of the apartment, heading to the church. He was soon replaced in the couch by Matthew. He looked at Alex, studying him again.
"Boyfriend," he finally said.
Alex blinked. "Wh…no, Gabe is…Gabe's just a friend." he replied slowly.
"Don't act it." Matthew didn't mince his words, getting straight to his points.
Alex blinked again. "Yes he does." he replied. "H-H'es just…I'm…he's just a friend."
"Don't believe it. Too close. Eyes." Matthew jabbed up at his own eyes, nearly poking them out.
Alex's eyebrows drew together, not understanding what Matthew meant.
"Eyes," Matthew said again, pointing to Alex's eyes. "Eyes tell. Boyfriend."
Alex shook his head. "He's…he's not, Matthew."
"Eyes," Matthew insisted. "Happy at him. Happy at you."
He shook his head again. "Matthew, he's…not interested in me like that. Two men…most men…" he didn't know how to say this.
Matthew grunted.
"Eyes. Don't lie. Wants you."
He was blushing, and shaking his head. "He doesn't."
"I saw! I saw!" Matthew was getting a bit louder now, but not too much.
"Please, Matthew– that's…most men aren't like that."
"You are." Matthew blinked.
"Y-yes, I am, but…but he isn't, I…"
"Same look. He is," Matthew insisted.
He shook his head. "Matthew, he…he can't be. He's not."
"Eyes don't lie. Why can't?" Matthew rocked a bit.
"Because… he's…" He shook his head a little. "Because he's one of the types of people that…that thinks being like me is a sin, alright?"
"But it's not a choice!" It was one of Mathew's first full sentences.
"Do you choose?"
