(might have to go soon sorry)
He shook his head again. "No. Y-you're a ghost, a-and it's all m-my fault."
(okie!)
"I- I might be dead, Alex, but you're not. You can… You can move on, Alex." Gabe closed his eyes a moment.
He sniffled softly. "And go where, Gabe?" his voice was raw, broken. "I don't have…anywhere, o-or anything, or…or anyone else, and…"
"You have everything I did, Alex. I… I left a will with the woman next door, leaving everything to whoever was living with me at the time. It's all yours, Alex. And- and some day you'll find someone, Alex, a man who'll love you even m-more than I do…"
Alex blinked. "B-but…" he didn't know what to say. "But I-I don't…I…" he shook his head, letting out a shaky breath, still crying softly. His eyes were red and tear-stained, cheeks puffy from crying.
"It'll be o-okay, Alex…" Gabe wiped at his eyes, willing his stuttering voice away.
He sniffled loudly. "No it won't…"
"I-It will be, I swear Alex, but… but you have to make it that way." Gabe closed his eyes, taking deep breaths to stay calm.
He shook his head, tears running down his cheeks.
"You have to work for it, Alex, and- and I'll always be here to watch over you, okay?"
"I don't want to." he replied, shaking his head again.
"Please, Alex, you need to. I- I can't let you stay like this…" Gabe let out a breath.
He sniffled, shaking his ehad.
Gabe sucked in a breath when he didn't hear Alex respond.
"Please…"
He sniffled again, wrapping himself in blankets.
Gabe closed his eyes, not knowing what Alex was doing now.
"I'm sorry." he said again.
"You… you don't have to be." Gabe opened his eyes slightly.
He let out a shaky breath. "I do."
"I… Alex…" Gabe shook his head.
"What?" he asked quietly.
"There's… there's nothing we can do about this now, Alex. I'm dead. But- But I refuse to let you give up." Gabe ran one hand through his hair.
Alex shook his head. "but it's my fault. I killed you."
"Damnit, Alex, I don't care who technically killed me at this point. I refuse to think everything I did for you is for nothing, and as long as you let me stay watching over you I won't let you just give up."
Alex swallowed faintly.
