Henry sighed. "Because you don't have the faith to."
Henry sighed. "Because you don't have the faith to."
"Don't talk to me of faith," Gabe snapped. "Just because I do not have faith in the same things as you does not mean I have none."
"You don't have faith in the Lord. You would not understand."
"I do have faith in something. But that doesn't matter to you, does it? If I'm different than you, I'm obviously wrong." Gabe scoffed.
"Well, that's the first correct thing you've said in a while." He said haughtily.
Gabe scowled deeply, giving a sarcastic laugh. It seemed like that was the only way he was going to react, but then he swung out, punching Henry in the nose.
Henry stumbled back, narrowing his eyes.
Gabe looked away, shoving his hands in his pockets.
Henry snorted. "You settle all your problems with violence, don't you?"
"Only when they come from pricks like you." Gabe sighed a bit.
Henry snorted. "Hmph."
"You know, people too stubborn and pretentious to think that people who are different than them are anything but insane."
Henry shook his head a little bit. "Ass."
Gabe huffed, staying quiet.
Henry smirked at him a little bit.
"What?" Gabe snapped.
"Nothing." He replied, shaking his head.
Gabe rolled his eyes a bit, looking away.
Henry shook his head, looking around.
Gabe rested his head against the door, arms crossing again. Why did Henry have to be here? He wondered quietly how Alex was doing.
Alex was still crying, curled into a tiny ball on the bed, shoulders heaving and body trembling. He had done this. He had killed the one person that cared about him. He had killed Gabe.
Gabe tensed a bit. Alex couldn't be doing good. He moved now, towards the neighbors. The bedroom was right next to the apartment wall. Maybe… Alex could here him? Thankfully, it wasn't the apartment that was already haunted. He slipped in, ignoring the occupants in favor of heading for the wall. He placed his hand gently on it.
"Alex," he said, speaking loud to be heard through the wall without yelling.
Alex flinched a little when he heard Gabe's voice, curling up tighter. "I'm sorry!" He sobbed, shaking.
"Alex, please don't be. It's not your fault, Alex." Gabe's hand curled into a fist. He closed his eyes tightly, taking a deep breath.
"Please, Alex, it's not your fault. You tried to get me to stop, but I didn't listen. I'm so sorry…"
"I…" He shook his head a little bit. "I k-killed you…" He said quietly, only barely loud enough to be heard.
