"Hm…. Lets see…." He ate the entire apple in two bites and spit out the seeds. "I need…. My cloak, boots, coin sack, dagger and belt with the sheath and the valuables in the chests." He took the house key off his neck. "Use this to unlock the chests where the valuables are."
She nodded, "Anything else?" She stood up and stretched, glancing over at him, "Should I bring any food for us to eat before we head out?"
"If you want–" Just then, his stomach growled. "Actually, I think you should bring quite a bit…." Miles sat back on the ground, laying down and staring up into the trees. "And don't worry… I won't be going anywhere."
"Ok then, I'll be back, don't die." She smiled at him before dashing off, running through the woods until she got to the house. She immediately slipped inside and grabbed a blanket, laying it out on the floor before starting to fill it with the things he told her to grab. She looked into the kitchen and planned what she was going to bring while she packed.
Don't die…. He let out a stifled laugh. I sure hope I don't die…. Miles closed his eyes for a bit, and his smile faded. I just…. I don't know how she feels about me staying a wolf in broad daylight… Let alone anyone else…
She pulled his cloak over her shoulders instead of putting it in her makeshift bag and she put his belt around her waist with the dagger inside. She tied closed the bundle of other things and headed to the kitchen, grabbing anything that they could eat without having to cook it. She carried everything carefully and slipped back outside, heading to Miles.
She hasn't said anything about it, so I assume she's alright with it. He heard shuffling footsteps, and he woke up and twisted around. While Emmiline approached with a bag of all the stuff he asked for, his tail began to wag.
"Here's your supplies, and food." She set the pack down next to him and sat on the other side of it, taking off his cloak and belt and setting them ontop of the pack and food.
Miles sat up and took his belt and cloak, putting them on. The belt was fine, but the cloak was slightly small on him. The boots were to never be able to fit on his feet. "So…" He glanced over at her with puppy eyes. "What kind of food did you manage to grab?"
She looked down at the food and picked up a small loaf of bread, "Anything that we could take with without needing to cook it, I didn't really pay attention to exactly what." She glanced over at him and smiled, "I made sure I got everything you asked for, it should all be in the blanket."
He grinned. "Well, that's nice…. And about my mobility…." Miles began shortly, flushing. "It would be a tad embarrassing, but the best thing I could do without any help is to crawl on all fours – minus my broken foot." I don't mind terrain… He glanced at his hand's toe beans. _It shouldn't be a problem.
(You know…. Like the pads dogs have on their paws?)
(Ya, toe beans tho ^w^)
"Alright," Emmeline smiled, "I can always help you too if you need me too, let's eat and then get going, we have a long trip ahead of us." She broke off a chunk from the bread and started eating, looking over at him to make sure was going to eat as well.
(:3 toe beans!!!)
Miles carefully grabbed the whole loaf from her hand and tore half of the remaining bread off it, nearly scarfing it down. Yet he took his time as to not look to hungrily greedy. But it's my food after all – but she did take the time and somewhat risk her life to get it– Thoughts went through his mind as he ate, and he slowed down, yet still made somewhat of a mess, like all canines do when they eat.
(Yusssss :3)
She chuckled and shook her head, finishing off her piece of the bread and watching him make a mess. "What am I going to do with you," She said, shaking her head and leaning back on her hands.
(Nyoo have her touch his toe beans :3)
Miles glanced over, swiping his tongue over his nose and getting bread crumbs all over it. "Um…. Make sure I don't die? Wasn't that your initial plan?"
( :3 oke)
"Yeah," Emmeline smiled and leaned over, taking the remainder of the bread from him and breaking off another small chunk. She put the remainder of the bread back in his hands/paws, brushing over his toe beans lightly, "though that job is quite difficult considering you refuse to let me help you most of the time."
His palm tickled when she brushed it and his tail wagged. "Well, that's only because I wasn't thinking about how helpless I would be if I got caught like this…" He glanced down at his injured leg, putting the bread down on the blanket.
She smiled, "You never think about how helpless you would be," She ate her bread and looked around, "Are you ready to go?"
"Oh!– Uh, yeah…. Sure thing…." Miles rose to his one foot with the help of a tree when he snapped a dead branch off. It was perfect size for a walking stick for the 7 and a half foot tall werewolf Miles. This is the only other way I can move without embarrassing myself…. "You can carry stuff, I suppose. Or strap it to my back, whatever you want…." He glanced back at her, but winced a little when he barely set his injured foot on the ground.
"I'll carry it, you don't need to get any more injured." She stood up as well, looking at his boots and cloak, "Do you want me to wear these?" She asked as she grabbed the bag of other supplies and swung it over her shoulder.
(I thought he put his cloak on lol)
Miles nodded. "You can wear the boots, but not my cloak," He snarled. "No one wears this cloak….." Not even the kings wear this… It's mine!
She nodded and slipped the boots on, "I may have worn you cloak while I brought you supplies.." She smiled at the ground and then looked up at him, ready to help him if she needed to.
He wrinkled his nose in a snarl but didn't say anything harmful. "Just – don't….." Miles muttered, getting out of the brush and on his way down the trail. His tail flicked every time his injured foot had a flare of pain, and it looked like he was a cow trying to swat a fly. This foot hurts, but I have to keep moving – at least until we have a good place to stay…
Emmeline walked alongside him, glancing at his foot every so often, "Tell me if you want me to help, I don't want you to be in terrible pain this whole trip."
"It's not bad, it's just – it tingles a little bit…." I couldn't have lied at a worse time… Miles tried his best to hide it anyways. "The least you could do is make sure I don't trip over a crack in the road…"
