Emmeline nodded and glanced at Miles, blushing slightly and nodding again, "Ok, I'll go see if there's any more nails." She walked outside and shook her head, feeling her face grow more red as she grabbed the hammer and started searching for nails.
Miles let his towel fall to his shoulders as he sat down on his bed. “Sure thing….” I was gonna fix it but I guess I should let her help me since she wants to so bad….
"I didn't find any nails," she said as she came back inside with the hammer. She walked into his room and set the hammer on her bed.
"….What's your point?" Miles glanced at her. "You can go out and get some if I give you money – You're a big girl now," He smirked. "You can go and do things yourself without me holding your hand…"
Emmeline rolled her eyes and felt her face heat up again, "I know, I was going to ask you if you wanted me to go buy some." She glanced over at him and tried to hide her bright red face.
"Only if you really want. I'll give you some money and you can get them, I guess." Miles stood up and tossed his coin sack to her. Although I could use a new dagger or weapon or something…
"Alright, I'll be right back, do you need anything else?" She headed to the door with the money in her hand and raised an eyebrow, waiting for his answer before she left.
"Do you mind grabbing a 6-inch dagger from the armory or something? My other one is getting dull and I don't have anything to sharpen it with… I don't think…." He sat back on his bed. "But it's better to have one now than when you need one…." He shrugged. "But that'll be it. And make sure you're back by dinner time."
"Yes Mom," She joked, waving a hand dismissively as she walked outside. She grinned and shook her head as she headed towards town, holding the money tightly in her hand.
"Well, someone has to keep an eye on you," He muttered, letting out a sigh. Now what can I do until she gets home….? Miles was about to jump and say hunting when he realized the consequence he was overreacting about just an hour or two earlier. Best if I just stay here and chill or something… Wash clothes… But even then I might get caught. Yet who out there really knows that I'm a werewolf…?
Emmeline quickly arrived at town and went to the nearest shop, looking for nails. She eventually found some and bought them, shaking her arms out as she headed to the armory.
Miles stood up and grabbed his cloak, holding it up in front of him. I think this may or may not be washed… He lowered it to see the hole in the wall. She also may or may not actually know how to repair that properly…. The corner of his mouth flicked up in a snarky smirk.
She smiled lightly as she entered the armory, quickly getting a new dagger and heading back out. She hummed to herself lightly as she headed back to Miles' house.
Miles glanced around, clicking his tongue and whatnot, trying to figure out what to do without leaving the property. ….Organize my bookshelf???? He gave it a look, but it was already neat and such. Never mind… Maybe cook dinner? But I thought we were going to eat out again…. However with that whole thing in full swing now, I'm beginning to rethink that… It's not a good idea anymore.
"I'm back Miles, She called as she walked towards the house, holding up the dagger and nails. She smiled and entered the house, setting the coins and things she bought on the table. "So…time to fix the hole…do you have a board or a piece of wood or something?" She asked.
Miles made sure the things were settled down on his nightstand before he stood up. "There's some uncut wood outside, but with arms like those…" He sucked a sarcastic breath through his teeth. "I don't know if you're able to make a sliver with an axe."
Emmeline crossed her arms and looked up at him, "Can you do it then?" She did her best to seem angry at the comment and not care about it at the same time.
He glared at her. "Does it look like I fixed the table with full logs? Of course I can," He growled. You fool… Miles headed outside and went to the stump where his axe was and a few leftover logs. That reminds me, I should get more when I have the chance… If she'll let me.
"Thank you," She turned and grabbed the hammer and a few nails, silently planning how she was going to try to fix the hole.
He dislodged his axe from the stump and placed a log on it, chopping it quickly but efficiently, making good wooden panels in no time. Once a few were finished – leaving no logs remaining – he gathered them up and headed inside, dropping them on the floor under where the hole was. "Fix 'em up." He told her placidly but sternly, folding his arms.
Emmeline nodded, grabbing one of the panels and holding it over the hole, seeing that it wasn't big enough to cover the hole on its own. She pushed it to the side slightly and held it in place with her elbow as she grabbed a nail and tapped it just light enough to hold the panel up. She nailed another one lightly into the bottom and then grabbed another panel, doing the same on the other side so that there were two panels over the opening.
Miles sat on his bed and watched her patch the hole simply. He folded his arms and let out a grunt. Now I have a massive jut coming outta my wall…
She put an extra nail in each board just to make sure it was in place before turning to Miles, "Is this good? Or do you want it done differently." She set the hammer down and walked to her bed, sitting down on the edge of it.
He gave it a good hard stare. At least she didn't make the boards an cross patch or something dumb like that…. "It would be nice if I didn't have boards coming outta my wall, but I guess I asked for it, so it's fine."
Emmeline smiled genuinely, determined to just focus on the semi complement part of that sentence, "You're welcome." She swung her legs and looked at the patched up hole, "What are we doing for dinner? Are we going back into town?"
