Miles had finished everything and sat back to watch her, putting his fork down. "…What? You think it taste bad or something?" He said with his voice low as so the other people couldn't hear. I thought the fish hit the spot….
Miles had finished everything and sat back to watch her, putting his fork down. "…What? You think it taste bad or something?" He said with his voice low as so the other people couldn't hear. I thought the fish hit the spot….
"No, I'm just a little cautious since the only other times I've had fish they hadn't been the best." She looked at the fish and nodded slightly, noticing that it tasted pretty good so she took another piece.
"Gee I wonder why…" Miles muttered under his breath as he leaned back again, taking another sip of his water. I swear, though, that crowd in town was uncalled for…
Emmeline finished eating quickly and she took another drink of the water, looking out the window again. "So, where are we going to go now?" She asked, setting her cup back down and looking around the tavern.
"Geez…." He rolled his eyes. "I don't know, I thought maybe we could just chill here since we have practically several hours to kill before dinner!" Miles sighed and rested his elbow on the table, then his chin in his hand. "Wherever you want – But I don't necessarily want to leave quite yet…."
(Sry it's short but imma go to bed before I crash from sleep deprivation like usual)
"We can stay here," She glanced at him and fiddled with the hem of her shirt, humming to herself.
(Oh of course – good night and good morning! :3)
"Peace and quiet just feels nice…." He muttered, putting his legs out in the aisle way and crossing his ankle on his knee. Miles glanced over at her fiddling with her clothes. She's always all fidgety I suppose….
(Notebook was incredibly dead yesterday and I'm a bit sad…)
(Mornin'! :D)
Emmeline looked around the tavern and looked for something to do since she was already quite bored. "The food was quite good, I actually liked the fish this time."
(Ya, notebook was completely dead ;-;)
“That’s good. I might possibly go to the stream later tonight and get some fish for ourselves to see if my fish are any good….” He muttered.
Since they had already paid (just to make things go by a bit faster), Miles had decided to stand up and take a gander around the tavern. The decor was nice and the place had an overall homey touch to it. I wish I had the money to come here every day….
Emmeline stayed at their table, still curious about what was going on in the town square. She knew that Miles wanted to stay here and she shrugged, pushing her curiosity away for the time being.
Miles stopped by some sort of news board that was on the wall near the door. They had all sorts of stuff posted there like job openings, advertisements and things like such.
He was reading along and humming to himself when something in particular almost made him drop and black out. What the hell?? He growled and rubbed his eyes twice to make sure he wasn’t seeing things.
Eventually her curiously got the best of her and she sighed, trying to find Miles to ask if they could go find out what was happening. She looked around he tavern and eventually found Miles, seeing him by the announcement board before standing up and walking over to him, "Hey Miles?"
He paid little attention to her. What the hell is this!!? He tore the flyer off the wall and had a closer look — although he couldn’t really concentrate too well since he was a tad infuriated. How could they do this!? To people like me, trying to liove my life as a normal person!!!? “Dammit!!!!” Miles barked and threw the flyer down in a crumpled ball, heading out without Emmiline. That’s the last thing I need!! Are people setting traps and hunting werewolves!!!!
She jumped slightly and quickly picked up the flyer, following him outside, "Miles? What's wrong?" She unfolded the flyer carefully and looked at it, her eyes widening, "Oh.."
(Basically the flyer is like a thing where people can sign up to hunt werewolves and stuff and set traps if poeple have problems with them, so yeah :’D Miles is anything but happy.)
Miles rushed through town, and all the poeple. I hope she’s following me because oh well then… He got through and out into the country and returning home within minutes. As much as he wanted to stay in town all day, after seeing that, he couldn’t risk anything. One thing ruins lives…. He growled. And that happens to be one of them!
Emmeline watched him rush off and she looked at the flyer one last time, folding it up and tucking it away as she started to make her way back to the house. She sighed and looked at the amounts of people, still curious but deciding that making sure Miles would be ok was more important. She didn't walk especially fast and only got into the country after a while.
Miles unlocked his house with a swift movement and closed all his curtains. "I don't know who's out there, but anyone could know I'm a werewolf!" It was practically the first time he ever worried about being one, but it never crossed his mind that people were doing that for a while now. Dammit…. "Damn!!!" He slammed a table and it broke in half. "I'll be dead before I know it, for sure…" He growled, going a tad insane. "I can't let it get thw worst of me…. I just need to conceal myself enough to be safe, but not too much as to be obvious…." He muttered to himself, walking to his bed. "But screw them…. Screw them all!!!" He punched a nice sized hole in the wall near his bed. I'll kill every hunter if that's what it takes….
(Holy cow he broke a table.)
(oof)
Eventually she reached the house and she blew out a slow breath, "Miles?" She called softly as she opened the door and stepped inside, quite scared but not going to show it if she could help it.
Miles whirled around. "Oh…. It's just you…." He growled, sitting himself on his bed. I have no idea what the hell I'm gonna do…. He buried his face in his hands.
"A-are you ok?" She looked at the broken table and sucked in another small breath, seeing the hole in the wall as well. "I read the flyer," She said softly, sitting on her bed.
He shook his head. "All it means is that I'm going to die faster….." Miles drew in a long breath and wiped his face. "With that many people out there on tenative watch, I'll be ankle-deep in a bear trap in no time."
She shook her head, "You're not going to die, I won't let you." She said, debating whether or not to sit next to him, "You can't die, I'll go outside and if you need something from the woods I can get it, I promise that you won't die."
He stifled out a short but unworthy laugh. "With you and what muscle?" Miles growled at himself and wiped his face. I'm so screwed over…. "I guess the best I can do is stay inside. Or just be careful when I'm outside….." But then I'll get a crossbow bolt stuck in my chest…
"I might not be strong, but I'm not useless," She looked up at him, "Trust me, I'll help you the best I can, and not just because you are letting me stay here." She looked at the hole in the wall and sighed, "We need to path that back up."
Miles kept his mouth shut and licked his teeth. It's practically over…. He hunched over on his bed and shook his head. "If you want," He said lowly, rubbing his eyes.
