"You're a fucking idiot, and you better heal." Ellis replied.

Lloyd nodded a bit. "Mhmm… go on?" He ran his fingers through Nathaniel's hair to calm him, drawing a few weak purrs out of the boy.

"You had me so damn worried and your brother was sobbing. You fucking bastard."

"Mhmm… what else…?" Lloyd closed his eyes again, content to just hold Nathaniel and listen. He continued trying to soothe the boy, which was somewhat working.

"Do you just want me to stand here and insult you?"

"Yeah, go ahead… get it out of your system. I deserve it anyways."

He laughed a little, shaking his head.

"What? I'm a dumbass and I could've gotten myself killed and screwed everything up. Lay it on me. I deserve it."

He shook his head a little, running his hands through his hair.

"Why not?" Lloyd asked weakly. "Y… You've got every right to…"

"Yeah, well."

"Well? Well what, Ellis?"

"Nothing. You're just a fucking dumbass."

Lloyd sighed and hugged Nathaniel tighter. "I-I just… I want your to be able to get it out of your system. I can handle it."

"I'll get it out later." he replied, shaking his head at Lloyd.

"Why not now?" Lloyd asked with a soft sigh.

"Because you just got stabbed."

"So? Compared to that, your scolding is nothing, correct?"

"Well…just– ugh."

Lloyd sighed again and held Nathaniel close. "I deserve it, El. Just… do it."

"No." he replied, sitting down.

Lloyd shook his head a bit. "When are you going to, then?"

"Hm?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.

"When are you gonna scold me?"

"Eventually."
