Lloyd sighed softly and nodded. "Alright…"

He rubbed his face with a hand.

"I don't know how long I'm gonna be stuck in here…"

"Yeah. Me either."

"I don't know if I can eat yet… I'm feeling really nauseous and everything hurts."

"Alright. I don't know how to help."

Lloyd sighed. "… I'm a dumbass…"

"Yeah, you are." Ellis agreed.

"But I got the assassin, and that's what counts."

"I suppose so."

"I mean, I'm not dead, and that guy can't hurt anyone else. Everything is fine."

"Everything is fine,he says, while laying in a hospital bed."

"Again, I'm not dead. I'll be fine. I just… can't eat for a while. I'd rather me get hurt than someone else."

He shook his head. "You're a fucking idiot."

"Yep. But I'm a fucking idiot who got an assassin arrested and didn't die in the process."

"Yeah, but you got stabbed."

Lloyd shrugged. "I didn't die, and I've been hurt worse."

Ellis rolled his eyes. "So??"

"So, in my mind, the benefit was greater than the cost."

He shook his head. "Ugh."

"Now the assassin can't hurt anyone else! What if he got Nathaniel? What if he got you again?"

He shook his head a little bit. "Just…ugh."

"I couldn't bear to let that happen, El. I care about you guys too much."
