King removed the pancakes and turned the heat off of the griddle. He looked to Aria and gave her a smile not hearing a response. He didn't mind there was no rush after all.
King removed the pancakes and turned the heat off of the griddle. He looked to Aria and gave her a smile not hearing a response. He didn't mind there was no rush after all.
Swallowing, she took a sip of her water before speaking. “You should send me a recipe or something so i can actually cook something good.” She chuckled
King laughed slightly with her, "I'm guessing you can't cook then? But yea I can send you the recipe."
“Oh honey, i cant cook at all. Ill burn the house down thawing chicken knowing me” and she wasnt joking either. “I’m not good with fire actually in general” she says with a smile. The small burn on her wrist from the fight with that hero was now visible. Though she didnt say anything about it.
King's eyes looked to her wrist seeing the burn. He made no comment though was concerned about how she got it. His mind flashed to burning Mercy earlier that week but he pushed that thought out of his head. He shouldn't be thinking about the psycho when he didn't need to, "That's nice to know. Don't let Aria cook."
“Hey!” She looked up to him with a playful smile “I’m gonna learn and be even better than you! Okay… actually i dont know if thats possible.” She says taking another mouthful of pancakes.
King laughed again as she watched her eat, “The day that happens is the day I die. So no it probably isn’t happening anytime soon.”
“Oh how sad. Guess ill just have you cook for me all the time” she says with a shrug finishing off the pancakes contently. She was decently filled, satisfied. Though they were so good she found herself secretly wanting more. But she wasnt going to make him make anymore, so she didnt voice it.
“Oh of course,” King responded smiling. He saw her empty plate and remembered he still had extra batter, “If you really want it like that you’ll have to come over more often or I’ll have to go to your place. Also do you want more pancakes?”
“Oh I’m down for coming over here more often” she smiled. “Oh, and yes please. If thats alright.” She says bringing her plate over to him, setting it on the counter.
Since she was taller than him, his shirt only reached to her waist, coming up a bit when she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pulled him in for a light kiss. “Thank you~” she smiled
King kissed her back as he became aware of how little his shirt did to cover her lower half. He had a smile on as she thanked him before he went to turn around and start up another batch for her, “You’re welcome.”
She kept her arms around him from behind as she watched him make the other batch, a content smile on her face as the side of her face was pressed against his and her arms still around his shoulders.
She watched and paid attention to his movements and what he put in everything, but she still couldn't get why or how she was wrong.
King hummed lowly as he continued to cook. He let Aria hold onto him as he continued to cook up the second batch flipping them over. The door creaked open behind them and a dreary male voice who sounded way too hungover to have been driving this early in the morning, "What the fuck King?"
"Oh," King glanced back at where his roommate, Preston, was standing looking very much hungover, "You're back early. Get kicked out?"
"Yeah," Preston responded making his way over, "Who's the girl? I thought you didn't have a sex life?"
She didn't turn around to look at the man for a fee seconds, listening to them talk. Already gathering information about this dude from his voice. Though it seemed familiar. But from where.
"wow King, for not having a sex life you sure are good at it" she says kissing his neck before turning around and looking at the man. Though her eyes widened when she immediately knew who it was.
"Preston!? What the hell?!" she exclaimed looking back at King "this dude is your roommate!?"
"Like I explained earlier, not my choice," King responded as he looked between Aria and Preston having calmly finished the batch of pancakes. His brows furrowed glancing between the two, "Wait, you two know each other how?"
Preston sort of recognized the girl, though how could he forget her? He gave Aria a wolfish, but tired smile, "Hello Aria. It's been a while hasn't it?"
“Y-yeah” she says leaning against the counter. “Man, you haven’t changed. No wonder he talked about you getting kicked out. It was you” she laughed a little.
She still stayed by Kings side though, not looking back at him. Preston didnt change a lot either, but she wasnt surprised. She had the same length if not a little longer in college though her hair was platinum blonde as was her natural hair color. She dyed it a few weeks into a short relationship with this guy.
It was nice to see him she guessed…
Preston scowled at her comment. He walked towards the counter to get a glass of water to take pain killers and fight his hangover, "And what's that suppose to mean Ari?"
King rolled his eyes and slid the plate towards Aria. He was lost in this conversation and guessed the two knew eachother from some time earlier. A thought passed through his head that maybe they slept together. He wouldn't be that surprised if it was true.
"well I was the only girl who didn't leave you by the first night. I guess you just never stepped up your game Huh?" she titled her head to the side with a challenging look in her eye as if she were telling him to punch her. Though that was how it always was when she stirred up trouble.
"Oh I did, I've got girls for miles coming to sleep with me. Trust me," Preston responded matching her challenge before wincing at the pounding of his head. Paired with the shove of the head he got from his roommate.
King sighed as he looked to Preston, "Go nurse your damn hangover. I'm not having a fight, or whatever this was, going on in this apartment."
Preston grumbled before heading into his bedroom. Slamming the door behind him. King sighed and looked to Aria, "So you slept with him at some point? Not surprising."
She laughed a bit, raising a brow at his little kiddish movements before he slammed himself in his room.
Turning to King, she shrugged. "I was knocked hard and I was a poor college student just tryin to have fun. I see he's never gotten over himself though.." she rolled her eyes, pulling the shirt down a bit trying to cover her underwear and failing.
"Mhm," King responded as he saw her pulling his shirt down. He could see her underwear and assumed that was why. He paid no more mind to it as he looked into her eyes, "It's good to know he's been like this for a while now. I swear I live with a child, at least he has a job, but a child nonetheless."
She noticed where his eyes went, but didnt mind one bit.
“A job? Him? Where?” She asked crossing her arms. Almost not believing it if it weren’t King who said it
"Some bar I think," King responded after some thought, "He just drank so much he started to learn how to make drinks, one thing lead to another, and boom he's got a job."
“Man, I’m not surprised but also i am. He never graduated from college did he?” She wondered about it but shrugging it off, not caring too much about it.
“Anyway, so what’re your plans for today?”
"No he never did," King shook his head just slightly. He thought for a moment and looked to Aria, "I've got nothing planned, honestly was just hoping to get some rest."
