Cas shook his head, bewildered. "Where did all this ice come from…? Was that me?" He asked, looking around at the damage he'd caused.
Cas shook his head, bewildered. "Where did all this ice come from…? Was that me?" He asked, looking around at the damage he'd caused.
Nick nodded. “Yeah…do you really not remember doing it?” he asked, brows drawn as he studied Cas’s face.
"No?" He replied, clearly still confused. "I didn't do too much damage, did I?"
“Nothing serious…I think,” Nick responded. “You kind of did a number on our cell, though. How do you feel?”
"A little chilly and really dizzy… and I've got a pretty bad headache… but I think I'm otherwise okay." He shrugged.
Nick started to tear up. “You made me so worried!” he cried, all of his anxiety from earlier coming out.
"N-Nick?" Cas looked up at Nick, wide eyed and nervous. Shit… I upset him… "I… I-I'm sorry, I… I didn't mean t-to… uh…"
“It’s not your fault, I just…I don’t know,” Nick sobbed into Cas’s shoulder. “I felt so helpless. I’m just so glad that you’re alive and okay!”
Cas hugged Nick tightly, bewildered, but feeling tears sting his own eyes because of how upset Nick was. "I-I'm sorry…"
“Please don’t apologize…you couldn’t control it,” Nick responded, getting control of himself again. “I was just worried, that’s all. I’m just so relieved that you’re okay.”
Cas nodded weakly and rubbed at his teary eyes, drawing in a wavering breath. "I'm still sorry I upset you…"
“You can make it up to me by not dying, okay?” Nick joked weakly.
"I'll try my best, love…" He said quietly, hugging Nick again.
Nick offered a small smile, glad that Cas was okay.
“Are you two lovebirds quite finished?” Lydia asked, surveying them. “I can give you a slightly nicer cell, if it means that you won’t go off again.”
Cas blushed a bit, realizing that they weren't alone. "O-Oh! Um…" He glanced over to Nick for his input.
“Hmm…if you give us a nicer room,” Nick said pointedly, “then we’ll consider it.”
Lydia thought for a moment, unconvinced that Cas had gone crazy on purpose, but not enough so to disagree. “Fine.”
Cas nodded tiredly and went back to weakly hugging Nick. He closed his eyes, his head resting on Nick's shoulder.
Nick just held Cas for several more moments while the pirates went back to their duties, except for Lydia, who waited.
"Nick…" Cas murmured tiredly. "We should probably go…" He wrapped his arms around Nick's neck, keeping his eyes closed.
Nick nodded. “Yeah, but you’ll have to let me go for a few seconds so I can stand up.”
Cas whined softly, but reluctantly released Nick. "I dunno if I can walk, though…"
“I could carry you,” Nick offered, mostly sure that he could lift Cas. The other boy certainly couldn’t weigh much.
Cas blushed a bit at the offer. "Um… okay… if you're up for it, I guess."
Nick smirked. “Something tells me it won’t be that hard,” he teased, getting up and scooping Cas under his arms. Wow, he needed to exercise more, but he would be able to carry Cas without dropping him.
Cas clung tightly to Nick, hiding his red face in the other's chest. "Please don't drop me. I'll find a way to reign hell on you if you do."
