Leo was quiet for a few moments, just thinking to himself with a small pout. He looked over to Elijah then back to his lap, "What was your home like?" He asked gently, biting his lip.
Elijah look over at him. "Not this." He waved his arm around. "We don't have boxes that move us around or small brick we can speak into. We had horses and roaring fires and servants there for our every need. It was heaven." If only he had realized that before.
Leo nodded, still not looking up at him. He felt bad, really bad that he couldn't do much to help Elijah cope, "Some places still have fires… but not in apartment buildings…"
Elijah shrugged. "There's no use worrying about it now its all gone." He tired not to let it show that it bkthered him but he couldnt help it.
"I'm sorry, if I hadn't taken that stupid photo you wouldn't be in this situation." Leo sighed, chewing on his bottom lip.
Elijah looked at him. "If you hadnt that this 'foto' I would still be stuck in stone. I-im glad you." He bit down on his lip and looked down at his feet.
Leo turned his head slightly towards Elijah and was about to say something when there was a knock on the door. He stood and stepped over Elijah to answer it.
Elijah jerked his head up at the knock. He didn't move from his spot on the floor but watched Leo go to the door.
An older man was at the door with a plastic bag. Leo knew it was the delivery guy and quickly paid and tipped him probably more then necessary, taking the bag gently. He wished him a good day before shutting the door and turning to Elijah, "Food's here!"
Elijah got to his feet. He walked to the dinibg table and frowned when he saw it bare. "where? I don't see an animal."
Leo chuckled slightly and placed the bag on the table. Before he answered, he went into the kitchen and brought out two plates and some cutlery, "Okay, this is a type of curry. It's an Indian dish. It's chicken and rice with a slightly spicy sauce."
Elijah just blinked at him. He looked down at the "food." "There's no whole animal to eat? This is a strange world."
Leo sighed softly, "Yeah, it is." He placed a portion of rice on each plate and then did the same with the curry. He made sure there was enough sauce on both before sliding a plate with a fork and knife to Elijah.
Elijah sat down at the table and looked at the food in front of him. He was unsure of it but picked up his fork and took a bite anyways. It tasted weird.
Leo sat down across from Elijah and dug in. He hadn't had curry in a while and forgot how much he enjoyed it.
Elijah wasn't sure hpw he felt about the food but he was grateful that it had been made for him. So he ate it anyways. His gaze was on Leo, watching him.
Leo was focused on the food and not on Elijah at the present moment and didn't notice the other looking at him right away. When he looked up and did, he blushed slightly and smiled softly.
Elijah smiled at him before turning his attention to the strange food. He supposed he would have to get used it, he didn't see that there was a way for him to get sent back to his time.
Leo blinked away a few thoughts of his own, focusing back on and finishing his meal not long after that. His cheeks seemed to be a permanent shade of pink, even though he wished it away.
Elijah pushed away his plate after he finished. He wasnt sure what to do with the plate. There had always been someone to take it away for him.
Leo stood up when Elijah was finished, taking his plate and his own and bringing them into the kitchen. There was no point using the dishwasher for two plates so he ran a bowl of water, “Elijah?”
Elijah lifted his head at the call of his name. He stood up and took a few steps toward him "Yes?"
“Can you help me with these? I’ll wash and you can dry.” Leo held out a tea towel.
Elijah looked at the towel then up at Leo. He had never had to do house work before. His gaze shifted back to the towel.
“Please? I’ll tell you how to do it, it’s really easy.” Leo pouted slightly, looking much like a puppy.
