The good thing about autumn, in Leo's opinion, was that it wasn't too hot and wasn't too cold. The heat from summer was fading and the chill from winter was starting to finally have some bite to it. It was sunny, though the sun didn't have any heat to it this morning but the male didn't care. He was on holidays for a couple weeks and he thanked god that he finally was. University had him busy most days and he barely got a break… until now.

Now, when people think of a tourist attraction, a park isn't something people think of. But there was a statue that had drawn a lot of attention. Leo didn't quite believe in the legends around the statue and no matter how many times his friends begged him to take one photo, he refused. Unfortunately for Leo, he'd lost a bet and now had to take the photo. And that was what he was currently doing.

There was only a small crowd that morning so it didn't take long for Leo to get to the front, taking a moment to just look at the statue before he slid his hand into the statues and took a quick selfie.

"You arrogant little fool. You dare command me? Me? I am the all-powerful Witch Marsilla. I do not obey the commands of little boys who think they are worth more than they believe they are. I have seen your future, you will be nothing more than a foolish man who cries when he doesn't get his way. You will be the downfall of your House, your family name will be dishonored. All because you are a spoiled child who doesn't like getting his way. And for this, I curse you into marble, a statute forever, until the only person who can help guide to change your ways comes in contact with you. I do so hope that you learn to change, for if not, you will turn back to stone." The witch muttered ancient words and the world around him began to spin. He began hyperventilating as his feet turned to stone. It began creeping up his legs and torso until his body was completely stone. Centuries past and still he was stone. He had given up all hope.

At the touch of the boy's skin, his fingers turned to flesh. Slowly, the stone began crumbling away revealing a boy in very outdated clothing. As the last of the stone fell from his body, he took his first breath, a gasp really.

As the statue crumbled away, Leo placed his phone in his pocket and watched with wide eyes. He coulnd't believe it, even though he was clearly seeing it with his own two eyes. He blinked once, then twice and then the statue- man - was falling and Leo was quick to catch him so he didn't hit the floor and hurt himself.

Elijah wasn't sure what was happening or where he was. He had tried to take a step forward and crumbled. He would have hit the ground were it not for the boy holding him. "W-who are you? W-where am I?" He asked, stuttering. His voice was hoarse. He hadn't spoken in a very long time.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Leo swallowed and then smiled a little, “I’m Leo, and you’re in New York,” He answered, helping the other to his feet, “What’s your name?”

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elijah couldn't be more confused. What was this foreign country he was in? "W-what is N-New York?" He couldn't help but look around. There were moving pictures on big, strange buildings. What was this place? He started breathing harder as he frantically looked around. Where was his family? He wanted to go home.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Leo tilted his head to the side slightly. It made sense that his guy wouldn’t know where he was but this whole experience was strange. People were taking photos, clearly amazed at what happened but Leo just glared and they walked away, “New York City, it’s a place in America.”

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

"A-America? W-what?" Elijah had briefly heard of the newly found continent. He had heard that there were natives who terrorized them. They were savages. But this did not look like what was described. This had to be a dream, a very, very bad dream. But then her haunting words came back to him. Stone, he had been turned to stone. But for how long?

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Hey, how about we get outta here,” Leo suggested gently, “I’ll answer any questions you might have… as long as you answer mine.” He bit his lip, running a hand through his hair.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elijah turned back to the male, Leo, he believed is what he told him. Yes, that sounded good. He didn't want to stay there any longer. He nodded his head twice.

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Cool. Come on then,” He inclined his head a little and set off back the way he came, through a small portion of the park and onto the street, “What’s your name, by the way?” He asked.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elijah couldn't stop turning his head every which way as he followed Leo. "E-Elijah." He looked at him with wide eyes. He rubbed his arms. He looked down at his clothes then at Leo's. They were so different. What the hell was he even wearing?

@ElderGod-Carrots

Leo was wearing black skinny jeans, trainers and a grey sweater, plus a black beanie. He nodded a little in response to Elijah, “Nice to meet you, Elijah.”

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elijah hugged himself. He missed home. He missed his family. He missed being waited upon by countless servants. He missed home. He never should have sought out that witch.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Leo’s apartment wasn’t far from the park, in a very nice part of New York. He was worried about Elijah and how he was feeling with everything. He himself was still in shock but he had to get over that. He led them into the apartment building and pressed a button for an elevator, stepping inside once it arrived.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elijah was confused about the looks he kept getting from people. What was the small box they held in their hands? He had never seen anything like that before. He tilted his head inconfusion when they stopped before two very large closed doors. They were made of metal he believed. He jumped vack with a yelp when they opened on their own.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Leo couldn’t hold on his chuckle at Elijah’s surprise and pulled him into the elevator before the doors shut him out. He clicked a button with the number four on it and the elevator started to move up.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elijah didn't pull away when he pulled him into the contraption. When the box began to move, he started clawing at the walls. He had to get out of the contraption before it killed him!

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Woah, calm down Elijah,” Leo said, placing a one hand on his shoulder and the other took Elijah’s own hands, “We’ll be out in a second, nothing bad is going to happen.”

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Elijah looked at him frantically. "What is this? What's happening?" He asked in desperation. This world was too much for his little brain to handle.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Leo gave his hands a small, comforting squeeze, “We’re in an elevator. Humans use it to take themselves from low places to high ones. Think stairs only… quicker.”

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Electronics, mechanics,” Leo shrugged, “I haven’t really looked too much into it, it’s not my area of expertise.” He felt bad for not giving Elijah a proper answer and made a mental note to look it up later if he was still curious.
