Derlik stayed quiet as Evelyn calmed down. He held he, listening to the conversation. He nodded, turning to leave.
"Are you okay?" He asked, so worried she'd gotten hurt. He started off, Twili walking next to him.
Derlik stayed quiet as Evelyn calmed down. He held he, listening to the conversation. He nodded, turning to leave.
"Are you okay?" He asked, so worried she'd gotten hurt. He started off, Twili walking next to him.
She nodded. "I got scared but I'm okay. Look! I'm in barbie clothes! I feel very pretty!" She giggled. "And she had a huge dollie house! I had lotsa fun being a doll."
"You are very pretty in them," Derlik commented. "And I'm to take it you'd like a doll house of your own?" Derlik smiled gently, chuckling a bit. She'd be adorable, playing in her own little house.
She nodded excitedly, bouncing up and down a bit on his hand. "I had fun. The food all tasted like plastic though." She pouted a bit as she sat down and huffed a bit.
"Well, I'll make sure your food doesn't taste like plastic when I make you the house." Derlik chuckled, heading back to the hotel. Twili shifted to her human form, sticking close to Derlik with a guilty face.
She smiled and nodded, tucking herself back into Derlik's pocket carefully. "Be careful Derlik. Don't wanna drop me again."
"Right." Derlik went slowly, lowering his hands when Evelyn left them. Twili glanced up once, then looked away as they walked back to the hotel, ashamed.
Evelyn sat in his pocket and changed back into her regular clothes while in there, completely oblivious to the ashamed Twili.
Derlik brought them all back to the hotel room. Twili shifted back, laying down on the bed with her snout in her paws. Derlik sat down, offering his hand to Evelyn to help her out of his pocket.
She got out and sat on his hand. "I'm ready to be big now." She said quietly, looking down, playing with the hem of her shirt a bit. "Please?"
Derlik nodded.
"Okay," he said softly. He touched Eveyln's cheek lightly, getting her back to normal size, sat on his lap.
"I love you," he said softly.
She hugged him tightly as soon as she was huge again, so tight that she nearly picked him up. She then set him down and grinned. "I love you too!" She cried out. She had gotten out of little space so she changed into big girl clothes, stretching.
Derlik let out a soft oof, hugging Evelyn back. He stood when she moved away from him, stretching.
"Is there anything you need to do today?" he asked.
"Naw I don't think so. We ain't got our show until tomorrow so I guess we outta bang out some last practice before going on stage yeah?" She nodded a bit and sighed, grabbing her guitar case off of the floor, and opened it up before beginning to hum notes as she tuned it, doing it by ear.
Derlik nodded a bit.
"Didn't one of your band members want to talk about you for some help?" He asked, tilting his head as he listened to Evelyn tune her guitar.
"Oh yeah! Evan's new boyfriend. Don't tell me they aren't dating, did you see those bitemarks in Evan's shoulder and those hickies? I'll go help him a bit. Just boring band stuff." She shrugged as she finished tuning it.
Derlik chuckled. Yes, he'd seen the marks.
"Alright then. Anything you could suggest I could do?" Derlik hummed, laying down on the bed with his head hanging off as he looked at Eveyln upside down.
"Dunno. Don't kill people." She said with a shrug as she got up and headed to the next room and knocked on the door. Evan was gone by this point, and there was some low moans coming from the room. "ACTUALLY I'm hungry let's go get food!" She grabbed Fun's hand and walked off too the elevator, guitar strung across her back.
Derlik had been very prepared to find someone to 'not kill,' thinking to himself that if they never died Evelyn couldn't say he did anything against what sure said, when she came back and grabbed his hand. He got up, coming with her. He chuckled when he heard the noises coming from the other room.
"Food sounds good," he said, looking amused.
"Man Evan's getting more dick then I do. That's quite the change. Usually he's complaining about me. Oh well. It happens." She sighed and dragged him out of the hotel and began to walk down the street, humming to herself as she looked around. "I forgot how big and beautiful New York is." She mused, looking around with a certain glimmer of memory in her eyes.
Derlik walked with Evelyn's hand in his, chuckling softly.
"I see, I see…" Derlik trailed off, looking around. He'd missed so much in the past four hundred years…
"It is beautiful," he said softly.
"Upfront it is. It hides dark secrets inbetween it's alleyways and closed doors of dirty apartments. Don't be fooled by the billboards and businessmen in sharp suits. A lot of them are horrid people overall. So. Don't get too caught up in The Big Apple, City of Lights." She turned into Mcdonald's and ordered herself some food, rocking on her heels.
Derlik smirked a bit as he looked around.
"Is it wrong of me to say that makes it even more beautiful for me?" Derlik smiled a bit, looking around. He let out a soft hum when Eveyln ordered her food, watching in curiousity.
"I guess. And leave OFF the pickles! Friggin nasty." She shook her head and stood back, head on his arm as she waited. "You gonna order something sugar? Also I'm honestly terrified of New York most times. Especially at night. Been cornered in too many alleyways to not be."
Derlik looked up at the boards with the food.
"Ah… I don't really know. I don't know what these foods are." Derlik rubbed the back of Evelyn's hand a bit.
"Well, that's not gonna happen anymore. I'm back in town, and soon we'll see just how many of my gods remain."
