"Aah…" Derlik took Evelyn's hand in turn, smiling some.
"Well, I've been exploring. This city's layout is new to me now, and I think I have a more decent understanding of the way around." Derlik leaned over to kiss Evelyn's cheek humming some.
"What'd ya see? Any music stores with electric violin strings?" She asked, then leaned up and kissed his cheek. "I missed you by the way." She said quietly, looking away. Evan suddenly looked back at Evelyn. "Hey Ev' I'm hungry. Can we stop somewhere to eat?" "Sure 'An. You pick the place. I'm not picky." She then returned her attention to Derlik as the two in front of the lovers went into a discussion about where to eat.
"Mm, no, sorry." Derlik gently squeezed Evelyn's hand. He blinked a few times at her second remark- he had to admit, it surprised him.
"Then perhaps I could make it up to you? There was a place I saw that you'd be interested in." Derlik mostly ignored Evan and the other person, focused on Evelyn. He didn't want the woman to be upset, or hurt, of course. Escpecially by him leaving her alone- that would just make him a horrible partner.
(oh Derlik you Himbo) She smiled. "Of course I missed you. I'm supposed to love you and all that jizz, and. I think I do. I dunno for certain yet." She followed her brother and Amanda as they stopped at a crosswalk. "I'm not hurt or nuthin, BUT. I am never one to turn down a good spoiling so after food we can go check out some of the shops. All 4 of us!"
(You dumbie friggin buuuuump~)
Derlik couldn't help but smile softly, kissing Evelyn's cheek lightly.
"Well, good. Yes, let's all go shopping~!" Derlik laughed some, putting his arm around Evelyn a moment in a hug.
"Is the store you have in mind okay with all 4 of us?" She said, knowing some of the stores around San Francisco. They all crossed the street and headed into a pizza parlor. "Oh nice choice guys!" She said as they all are brought over to a table, and menus are set down. She rested her head on Derliks shoulder. "We really outta find a music store." Evelyn said, to keep the flow of conversation going. "Yeah. I'm gonna do some googling while we wait for our food and find somewhere near by. There has to be a Music-Go-Round somewhere." Evan said as he pulled out his food, and Amanda nods. "Yeah. It sliced open my finger pretty good. Luckily Adrian had a band-aid." Evelyn nodded and kissed Derliks cheek, and things went silent.
"Ah… not the main one, no, but we can save that for when it's just us." Derlik winked, laughing softly so just he and Evelyn could hear. He fell quiet as they went into the pizza parlor, nodding. He'd find a music store, no problem. He put his arm around Evelyn when she rested her head on him, kissing her head in turn when she kissed his cheek.
"So do you guys think we're ready for the concert tomorrow?" Evelyn asked, and Evan nodded. "Definitely, though I'm more ready to go home really. I miss my cat." Evelyn laughed as she looked at Amanda. "I'm gonna see my little sister when we get back, and my dad. Tell them all about our first tour. I think we'll do good. Colorado show was my favorite." Evelyn laughed even more and shook her head. "Definite. With all that pot after the show? Of course you did." They soon began to reminisce about all the places they've gone, as the waitress came over and took their drink order. Evelyn and Amanda got a coca-cola and Evan nabbed a Pepsi.
Derlik got water, his nose crinkling some at the other orders.
"I still don't get how those count as beverages. I'd much prefer rice, honey, and grape wine." The god rolled his eyes a bit, chuckling some at all the adventures these people always seemed to be able to get themselves into.
"You are a bajillion years old Derlik. Times have changed." She shrugged as she read over the menu. "Besides now everything is about consumerism. Wiccan celebrations have been over run by the Christians, and don't even get me started on THAT history lesson, the earth is dying because of how many holes we've put in the ozone layer because of pollution, and too many forests have either burned or been cut down. Because money runs the America's. Not the government. People are only famous because they have top dollar or are iconic, not because of the message or depth, the truth of their cutting words. Those people are called Indie and put on a dusty shelf to be found in an old record shop cabin that no one listens too anymore… Sorry! I got really depressively ranty. Basically we're all living by the saying of, I'm here for a good time not a long time, whether anyone realizes it or not. Cheap, fast, and always moving forward." She sighed as her brother and her friend both looked at her. "What? Oh yeah yeah always so surprised at my poetry, go on order your pizza. Don't be so concerned you know I'm right." Amanda shrugged and Evan shook his head. "Evelyn can we have one peaceful day?" "No!" She returned to studying the menu, trying to decide which to pick.
(I IS BACK FOR MORE NOW)
"Okay, I've got a few questions- Christianity's still a thing? Damn, they're assholes and I didn't expect that much from humans. And why are people doing so much to destroy the planet for a few extra bucks? Even I can't get behind that. And people seemed to have really degraded into money crazed lunatics, haven't they..?" Derlik let out a long sigh.
"What humans don't realize is that they really are in it for the long run, even they don't remember it. Really, everyone's souls are going to see the end of days, which might be coming quite soon at this point… Not to mention all the gods and minor gods having to suffer through it all too." Derlik glanced at the other two, then back to Evelyn. He didn't mind getting deep with her.
"Yeah I know. We're our own destruction. But there are people out there who are planting trees and giving back to mother earth, but the number of those people are decreasing more and more every year ya know? I always try to help when I can. But alas. Only I can do so much. Though a god like YOU on the other hand, depending upon the reach of your powers, could create quite the revolution and help soooo much."
"Oh, I'm sure I could, but I doubt you would enjoy the destruction of mankind. Plus, I'm pretty sure Halm and the other gods would have a heart attack if I tried again." Derlik shook his head, chuckling some.
"It's stupid, really."
"Oh cmon make me a goddess have us be the worlds most dangerous duo? It'd be classic. Like Harley Quinn and the Joker but healthy and not toxic and highly abusive." She kissed his cheek a few times. "But fine. Don't let us both start a huge world wide cult ultimately destroying the earths core and watch it blow to smitereens." "Evelyn. What the fuck?" Evan said, with severe concern on his face. Amanda only shrugged. "We have in depth discussions about murder all the time. This is nothing new."
"Now, that doesn't sound horrible at all to me," Derlik cooed back. There was a glint of malicious glee in his eyes at the thought, humming softly as he pondered the chaos he and Evelyn could bring down on the unsuspecting world.
"Besides, what a little genocide? Not like were gonna destroy souls or anything." The god's smile only grew when he heard of how often these conversations were had by Evelyn.
"Babes c'mon have a little humanity. No killing people unless they have killed people, and I'm not taking about abortion and stuff. Like only the worst of the worst. And all the politicians. Let's overthrow the government." She giggled as Evan sighed and got up. "I'm going to go to the library where SANE people live. I can't listen to such heartless discussion." Amanda sighed "Hold on, my phone's dead and I still need to get to the music shop for violin strings. Walk me there?" "Oh sure. You've got the bill sis?" Evelyn nodded and grabbed another slice of people as Evan and Madz each grabbed one more slice and left, trying to find their way.
"Fine, fine." Derlik laughed, looking over as Evan stood.
"Sane people are no fun, though!" The god hummed as the two left, turning back to Evelyn.
"Well, then. It seems I'll be able to take to you the store I mentioned before after all. This is going to be fun~."
"What store?" She asked curiously, perking up at the way her lover spoke. She finished up the last slice and waved over for the bill so she could pay.
"Well, I did some looking, and I think that this store will do quite well. It's an age regression shop." Derlik smiled, waiting for Evelyn's reaction. Really, he'd love to treat her to a day of shopping, and letting her get something she'd like.
