“Oh no,” she said, backing away, a laugh in her voice.
“Oh no,” she said, backing away, a laugh in her voice.
"oh yes," he took her hand before she could esape and pulled her to him "come on, it'll be fun. I swear."
She blushed. “But I’ll just fall. Again.”
"and I'll be right there to catch you, I promise. I won't let you fall." Corbin strapped on his roller blades and stood
Sarah still looked nervous, but she strapped hers on and tried to stand up. She almost fell.
He laughed and caught her around the waist "oh this is going to be interesting…" He held out his hands to steady her
She hit him, gently, on the shoulder. “Meany. You should know that I’m about as graceful as an elephant when I’m on wheels.”
He laughed "I know, but that's what practice is for. Plus, you won't fall so hard." He took her hand in his again and guided her slowly to the skating rink
“I don’t think you know what I’m talking about,” she said, practically clinging to him as she rolled, nearly falling over several times. “I will never be good at this.”
He glanced down at her "not with that attitude you won't." He laughed softly and stood behind her "now all you have to do is not fall fowards where I'm not at."
Right after he said that, she fell forward.
Corbin flinched and crouched down beside her "that's what not to do, you ok?"
“You jinxed it,” she accused, eyes glittering with amusement. “And I’m fine.” She stood, holding the wall.
He laughed and stood "ready to try again?" He asked, offering her his hand
“No,” she grumbled, but accepted his hand all the same. This time, she rolled a few feet before falling over.
"you have some talent, to fall over while using me and the wall as support, wow Sarah." Cor shook his head and smiled "give me both your hands."
“I’m special,” she said with a laugh. Pushing herself up, she took one of his hands… and promptly fell over again.
"I know." He said sincerely. He took her hand in his and lead her away from the wall. " Now just focus on me."
Sarah stared at him, trying to focus, but couldn’t stop thinking about the wheels strapped to her feet. She wobbled andalmost fell, multiple times.
Corbin laughed "you're just staring, that's not focusing." He tilted her chin up to meet his eyes "straighten up, you're going to keep falling if you don't stand straight."
“But if I straighten up, I’ll just fall again,” she whined, but did as he said.
"No, you won't. I'll be her to catch you…hopefully." Corbin took her by the elbows for better support and started to skate backwards
“Such encouraging words,” she said nervously. She almost fell several times. She seemed to only be good at that.
"I try my best," he teased, "you're doing fine." He said, dragging her fowards while he looked behind him
“I’m very skilled,” she muttered as she fell for the twentieth time in under five minutes.
