Death to Ginnys and Americas!

Her name is America Singer.
She's a white girl with red hear who loves the color blue.
She sings.
Much wow. Such creative.

pseudo-incestuous babies

???

I always saw Harry as a part of the Weasely fam, like another son. SO it was weird when he and Ginny got together because they're practically brother and sister.

What.
I….I totally missed that when I read the book.

Yeah, it was weird. Not quite the level of weird that an actual adopted sibling and their adopted parents' kid would be, or stepsibling romance, but still weird.

Yeah. And on the covers her dresses are blue, red, and white.

The moment I gave up all hope for the series was the caning scene. In what world is the monarch's response to what he considers treason to cane a guy in front of the whole country. First off, I couldn't take the scene seriously because he caned a guy's ass on live television. That was his solution to treason? No, that's a punishment from a 1800s British boarding school book, not a dystopia.
To be fair, my villain does order a mc to be flogged for what he claims is treason but he really just wants to humiliate him in front of the other rulers, who are immortal, and he does so knowing very well that the character might end up dying. Also most of the wounds are inflicted on his back, not his ass.

In all honesty, that series is completely juvenile and not anything about it is redeemable. The Prince Charming is a complete asshole nincompoop.

Like a certain book series with certain sparkling vampires?

Ophelia is a sweet, innocent young woman. I'm making her gain fire powers, and is at first terrified by the destruction that she can cause, and then takes off to burn people like Oleander alive.
Vivian is strong, determined, and a solid fighter, and she gains the ability to see and talk to the dead. She's pissed about this because her sisters get elemental powers and all she gets is that.
Giana gets ice powers. That one was not subversive.

Protagonists who aren't the chosen one. Also, maybe be realistic and have the characters be like normal people, not stereotypes. I know guys who cry but are gym jocks (but not jerks), girls who are skinny and willowy but are more rough 'n tough, lesbians who aren't super butch and just act, like, how you'd expect any female to act regardless of sexuality. The way they act, you ask? MANY DIFFERENT WAYS. Because people are like mix and match stuff, there is no "one type" of person!

Ophelia kind of goes a bit crazy in the second part of the story

Daenerys Targaryen

@Wry_Wyvern

Today is a great day to piss off professors by giving characters abilities that don't correspond with their personalities!

YES, this is great; I do this all the time!

Daenerys Targaryen

Ophelia's mission is to burn men who assault women
Just imagine this tall, willowy girl with big blue eyes, curly honey-blonde hair, and a bunch of freckles (not even remotely threatening) going "Burn them all".
