thANK YOU. also you forgot the part where he touches his nose and says "i don't. want to fit in."
some idiot in jail: i dropped out in fourth grade, to run a drug cartel and support my nana
archie's actor: makes a "what the fuck is this line" face
archie: then you haven't known the triumphs and defeats, the epic Highs and Lows of highschool football
Honestly, Riverdale at this point is like 70% bad dialogue. The other 30% is weird, convoluted plot lines that make no sense. There's enough cringey dialogue in there that we could probably have an entire, separate thread for it. But if you think I am not going to be watching season 4 episode 1 on the day it airs than you are very wrong.
Isn't there a plotline where a character gets told she has the 'serial killer gene'?
Yes. I remember watching that with my friend and we had to pause it because we were both like "Ok that sounds super fake." Apparently, it is a real thing but calling it the "serial killer gene" is a little misleading. It basically just makes people harder to control impulses which can lead to violent and aggressive behavior. According to article we read, there weren't even any known studies that linked serial killers to this gene.
Ah, please note: just like having a gene for breast cancer doesn't mean you'll get breast cancer (though it increases your risk), having the "serial killer" gene doesn't mean you're going to become a serial killer, and having the "psychopath gene" doesn't mean you're a psychopath. @Starfast sorry for kinda butting in but thanks because I found a really interesting article that doesn't really even have much to do with this, but I've linked it three times on this site so yeah
Pet peeve: when love stories happen over the course of
Like
2 weeks
I read this series one time where the two main characters meet, hate each other, fall in love and end up with one of them literally willing to die for the other and then the books end with something like "boy haha what a crazy three weeks that was"
When I was twelve that was cool and all and i loved these books but rereading them recently was a very horrifying experience
Weird, last-minute plot twists with no foreshadowing.
I'm sick of these "Lol I bet you won't see this coming!" storylines, a good story has clues to the twist
TRUTH. And also plot twists that make no sense in the context of the story and are only played for shock value
("I bet you didn't see this secret laser weapon coming!"
"Yeah cause we're a fantasy epic")
