Okay but vampires who periodically get back into the most random shit. Like for a few weeks they just get super into calligraphy or something, followed by a bout of binging everything on Netflix and doing nothing all day. And they end up being mediocre at a bunch of things.
This. This is what i mean. Just casually scrolling through YT and find tutorials for various stuff. Boom, new obsession for the next several months, then period of absolute boredom until next obsession. I need a story like this
And like, as long as we're talking about ways to not have Basic Sparkle Boy™, vampires that have issues. Vampires with ADHD and anxiety and all that jazz. And vampires that are all different in the same story and have different personalities, not just interchangeable ab-wielding meat slabs of doom
FAT/PLUS SIZE VAMPIRES

Dude same
they can’t eat most italian food and that’s really sad to think about
:O noooooo
From what i read, traditional vampires shouldnt really be able to enjoy regular food - mostly cuz they're evil spirits n shit, y'know and normal food is tasteless to them
but otherwise i think they should be able to eat any kind of food, but would prefer anything thats vitamin D rich - i like to think vampires eat blood cuz they cant get that vitamin D from the sun directly
Bro just take vitamin D supplements lmao
Vampire: "hi I need all of your vitamin d supplements"
Cashier: squinting "Is getting that much at once even legal?"
Vampire: "look dude, I don't really care, just give me the vitamins, I've had a long century."
Cashier: "chill bro okay"
Soon theories start circulating about the people that just buy a shit ton of vitamins once every few years. Interesting, considering Karen does the same thing and doesn't age either, but she's human and just has a ton of botox
Its my friend group joke that I'm the vampire cause I easily get sun poisoning, take vitamin D, and my eyes water when cutting garlic. If I was immortal I'd do nothing but binge watch youtube and netflix all day… Oh wait.

Very subtle, my guy. Don't get yourself hunted and killed
Haha I’m the group vampire too. I’m ridiculously pale, have to take vitamin D, and have a kinda stereotypical vampire aesthetic. But I’m also obsessed with garlic sooo
Garlic is so good man ;-; i ended up eating it with pretty much any food that allows it ^^
im also part of the vampire joke group, mostly cuz im romanian, hate the sun and have an obsession for tomatoes >.>
I'm the vampire of my friend group too lol
vampire gang unite XD

I'm a vampire too. Explain sun poisoning bc that sounds right.
sun poisoning is like super sun burns + heat stroke all in one. You get lovely patchy red rashes that eventually turn dark purple and scar, a fever, dizziness and nausea for a few days, and long lasting sun sensitivity! I looked like one of those strawberry marble cheesecakes last summer and have a very patchy looking tan this year.
Which adds to a point of less in books, less unrealistic injuries. This stuff lasted 3 months and I still have side effects and scarring from it, and here in many YA books we have horrible injuries, exposure, lack of water or food, etc. and it all gets better right away. If you want realistic survival stuff, that one survival show 'naked and afraid' has some very good and real examples of how dangerous such injuries can be. Characters can't just get up and walk away from conditions like those.
mini rant over, I just read a chapter of a book where the main character almost dies from heat exhaustion and is better in a few hours after drinking like one cup of water…
Oooohh, i do watch Naked and Afraid, that show's real good :0
that alr sounds so bad im cringing
Ugh YES, character injuries that disappear after a chapter annoy me SO MUCH
Like, your character just got shot in the leg, why is he running without trouble?!
I hate them so much :")) So much i'd rather have a character spend the entire book recovering. I hurt characters so they can suffer, not so i could reach the page quota D:< Giv me pain and struggle dammit

Hmm. Never got sunburn. But I was in bed for a few days and have never been the same.
These days if I get really struck it takes me three hours to recover if I get lots of water and shade.

That sounds like an interesting show.
