It's very interesting. They drop the person, or team in some editions, into a wilderness area to survive for a certain amount of time. Depending on the season, they get one item and a bag, and that's it for supplies or clothing. I recently watched a team one based in Africa, A woman on one of the teams it got heat stroke and had to be pulled from the 48 day challenge, while the other team was being stalked by hyenas.

I mean, I've forgotten to breath before, it's actually kinda a problem my Oxygen levels get kinda low when I'm in Highly Emotional situations. My body just can't breath and have emotions at the same time.

This is more of a question rather than a rant, but what female character tropes/personalities do you find annoying and off putting?
And which ones would you like to see more of?
I want more flawed women, especially ones with character flaws that are generally seen in male characters.
More women with bad tempers who shout and throw things and get genuinely angry and it isn't just dismissed as her being "hysterical"
More women with ADHD/ADD where it isn't villianized or turned into a plot gimmick
More women who are controlling and loud and confident and a go-getter
More women in leadership positions
More women who don't know how to do make-up and no one insults them for it
I want less of "girl hates main girl and wants her bf, oops now girl has new love interest and girl and main girl are now friends". It's super vapid and shallow, plus it's overdone at this point. It doesn't send a good message, and "I'm in love with someone else now" is not a redemption arc, it's a depthless gimmick of how men think women work.
While I'm at it, I want less of "flirtationship hits a rocky patch because new guy shows up and manipulates girl. Boy is overprotective and tries to warn girl very rudely. Girl tells boy that he's being insane. Turns out other boy was indeed manipulating girl" because there's really no way to handle it well, and the girl is always framed as in the wrong and her psycho not even bf stalker is framed as completely in the right. It's weird and gross

Ledhalav is a jerk. She has issues, but that doesn't excuse her. She's an asshole to my MC for no good reason. (And then they get married but that takes three years to get to so it's not like. An abusive relationship.)
Alene doesn't communicate and can be hella passive aggressive.
Aya lets her feelings get in the way even though she's a serious badass.
Okay just gonna say that I love the fact that 'Kaion learns to love herself and overcomes her fear of abuse and becomes so strong.
Rune is my leader. She leads like a boss and insists that she's good enough for anything .
Octavia is super loyal. Total Hufflepuff even though she hates people.
Sam has gone through a lot, but still keeps her spirits up. So proud.
Pryn will punch those who get in her way. I love her for it.
Sutérji is so strong. She's experienced so much pain in her life and is still a genuinely good person and loves her son with all her heart. We stan a queen.

Characters that are like "love isn't a whirlwind, life isn't a fairytale, relationships are hard and take work, love at first sight doesn't exist" and then get swept up into a fairytale romance and fall in love at first sight. It's weird and gross and not as funny and ironic as people think it is and I'm really sick of it. And less whirlwind romances in general. They're annoying and overly present in everything. I hate it
Feels vaguely aro/acephobic, not gonna lie-
Like, presenting everyone who doesn't want a romance as just some prude that hasn't met the right person yet seems super weird to me, not only as an ace and possibly aro (but feelings are hard) person but as someone who just is busy and doesn't want to date? And so often it's the "uptight prudish woman who doesn't want a relationship but meets a whiny, demanding manchild and they somehow fall it love".
YES. Also so many people are like "slowburns ew" and it makes me angry because why would you prefer instalove over an adorable slow burn??
I honestly don't mind instalove expect in really poorly written cases, but slowburn is chef's kiss
