Germany probably has less self-proclaimed Nazis in their country than there are self proclaimed nazis in the US, it’s insane

Yeah probably.
But yes….US isn’t an amazing country, no one really is
isn't it illegal to do nazi things in Germany now

the puyallup fairgrounds(which hold our state fair) used to be an internment camp. how fun.
Big yikes. And I gotta say, Crocs, you be spitting them facts.
everytime I've been there with friends or family i make sure to mention it. really good at killing the mood
basically if you ever wanna have a quick way to kill a mood look up the history of the location you're at
True…

My town used to be the location of a few different Native tribes and now they are no where to be found. But I mean, Roy Rogers and Dale Evens are buried here so, that's cool. But if I have to play "Happy trails" At one more town event I"m going to lose my mind.
Apparently there's a supposedly haunted old asylum by the field for Madison's summer baseball team. I wanna go explore it sometime.
bro idk who needs to hear this but saying 'I love you' after a disagreement/argument (if you really do) is pretty important sometimes for a few reasons, especially because you're reminding yourself despite the heat of the moment that you care about this person
For those of you that are in special education….
- Know what's in your IEP. Trust me, this can definitely help, especially if it says that you require extra time and assistance for assignments, tests/quizzes or exams.
- Don't feel bad for being in special education.
- If you're IEP states that you're able to use your notes on tests, quizzes, or exams use them for questions that you're not sure about.
- If a teacher refuses to abide by what's in your IEP it is illegal!
Furthermore
- Don't be afraid to ask for help.
- Try to keep your things organized. If a teacher has a specific organization set that doesn't work for you, let them know and see if the two of you can agree on a organization style that works for you.
SUPER IMPORTANTTTTTTT!!!

INDEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!!!
Just because you're in special education doesn't necessarily make you any less intelligent than the other regular education students. Everyone has certain areas in which they may need help with or accell at. Again, please ask for help if you need it and be aware of what your IEP says.
maybe not where this belongs but okay
freshmen are annoying. of course they are, they're young and trying to fit in, we were all there once and were all annoying. it's cool, i get it, have fun and be an annoying kid and regret it later like the rest of us, hell yeah
but freshman girls are put through the fucking wringer
here you are, suddenly shoved into this stressful environment and trying to find your place and navigate the gateway to adulthood, and suddenly teachers are screaming dresscodes at you, people are pressuring you into dating and having sex, everyone is convincing you that to be worth something you have to put up with creepy upperclassmen dudes. and it's hell and everyone just keeps enforcing these ideas, that like a right of passage in highschool is losing your virginity or some shit.
no one ever tells girls that you don't have to have sex. no one tells them that you can if you want to but be super safe. no one ever says 'your choices are your own, not anyone else's, never decide your own value based on the bullshit you hear from society or kids in highschool' but they should. each and every one of you deserves to know that. being a freshman girl and being a girl in highschool sucks so bad. there's so much stigma, so many expectations that clash and don't make sense, and so many people watching and waiting for one wrong move, for any chance to be a shit.
never be afraid to call the bullshit. and remember that it'll pass, and you'll be gone and you'll be happy and you'll be happier if you stop letting people and societal rules dictate how you live.
does anyone have any advice for paying attention asides from getting rid of distractions and listening to music? Bc I have to watch a lot of videos and I always zone out and forget what the person's talking about halfway through and have to rewatch the video a bunch of times.
Try drawing or folding paper while you watch the video's, find a mindless task to do while watching the video's. I personally will crochet or draw, some times sew.
I've found that reading the transcripts is easiest for me, because I retain written info better
yeah me too but there's no transcript for my school's videos
also relsey would a fidget spinner help?
I usually do something that will keep my hands busy, whether drawing, using a fidget spinner, or making hundreds of little origami stars, usually its just something to keep my hands away from the keyboard
I desperately need advice. I've always been a straight-A student, but virtual school has brought out the worst in my procrastination habits. My grades are mostly trash rn but I just can't make myself focus. Nothing motivates me - nothing except realizing that it's extremely late and I've done practically nothing. I always say that I'm going to focus more and do better, but in five minutes I'm off doing my own thing. Do you have any tips at all for staying on task and not procrastinating?
nothing surefire, but I used to tell myself 'just do five minutes' as a start. once those five were up, it was five more because I was already going and might as well finish. helped that I had honest to god failed classes before and knew what that 'you can't fix this now' felt like
