“Its just like how white glows.“ Nyt said as she stepped over a purple glowing plant.
“Its just like how white glows.“ Nyt said as she stepped over a purple glowing plant.
Abby shrugged and rested her head on Nyt’s shoulder. ”I’ll have to take your word on that, since I don't know where to look to find one.”
Nyt chuckled as Abby laid her head on her shoulder. “We’re almost there.” She said as she set her head on hers.
Abby gave a happy hum at the gesture and nodded gently. ”Ok. Hopefully, this meeting goes smoothly and ends quickly.” she sighed, though a slightly pessimistic part of her said something was going to go wrong at some point.
”I hope it does too.” Nyt said as they neared the complex. ”But we need to get dressed for it first.”
”Yeah.” Abby agreed. ”I’m glad that they gave me some nice clothes to wear for them.” It had been a little awkward for her during the first meeting when she introduced herself and humanity in her usual outfit. ”I felt so underdressed before.”
Nyt chuckled. "Well you were just a bit." She said as she walked into and through the complex. People stared at them a bit but seemed realitivly unbothered.
Abby giggled. ”I wasn't expecting it to be so formal until they suggested publicly announcing it with cameras.” she blushed.
Nyt laughed. "They do that so people can keep up with everything. Every meeting is live on television and its always recorded. Our way of keeping them in check." She explained.
”I know.” Abby nodded. ”I remember they said they used to do that with our politics too. So everyone could keep up and yeah, keep them in check.” she admitted.
Nyt sighed. "What was your politics like?" She asked curious. They reached their room and Nyt opened up the door with her tail and walked in.
Abby shrugged. ”Very confusing to me, and it seemed like it was very divided. Not a lot of people agreed on one thing or another. And when they disagreed, even the news tried to split the people more.” she explained.
Nyt frowned. "So your government wasn't that good?" She said as she grabbed another suit from the closet. They had given them plenty to suits.
Abby shrugged. ”I'm not sure. It wasn't the best student on that topic and it was very confusing.” she told Nyt as she picked out something to wear for the meeting. ”I think the way it was originally laid out made sense but time changes everything.”
Nyt smiled. “How do you think politics will work once we get this sorted out? Will humans join the council or will they have their own government?“ Nyt asked as she began to change.
Abby turned to give Nyt some privacy as she started getting changed as well. ”I honestly don't know how it’ll change but it’ll have to.”
"Probably." She said as she slipped pants and the shirt on. "I mean your council was pretty rude." She joked.
Abby nodded, blushing as she pulled on a nice shirt. ”Yeah… Sorry about that. If the council's do merge, I’m going to put in a motion to remove Myers.” she shook her head slightly. ”I don't know if he’ll ever get used to the idea of peace with Slyvians.”
"Maybe you should be on the new council." Nyt suguested as she tucked her shirt in and threw on her suit jacket.
Abby turned her head towards Nyt in surprise. ”M-me? Oh no, I don't think I could do that.” she denied as she finished getting dressed. ”I don't know enough about politics to join. I feel like I'm barely keeping my head above water as an Ambassador.”
Nyt laughed as she straightened her self out (good luck with that). ”That why I'm here with you!” She said, picking her up.
Abby let out a small squeak of surprise as Nyt picked her up. You’d think I’d be used to this by now. she smiled at Nyt. ”Yeah, I know you are. And we have Caleb and Adar too, I know I'm not alone.” she blushed a little. ”It’s just sometimes I feel like I don't know what I'm doing, or if I'm doing the right thing in front of everyone.”
Nyt hugged Abby. ”You're not doing anything wrong. You're doing great.” She said as she stroked her hair.
Abby smiled and hugged Nyt back, practically melting into the touch. ”Thank you. It means a lot to hear that.” she almost whispered before reaching up to rub Nyt's ear.
Nyt then practically melted into her arms when she touched her ears. ”You're welcome.” She hummed.
